Was satisfied with the facilities, hygiene, location, etc.

We LOVED this grand hotel, situated about 15 minutes’ walk from Mysuru Palace. There are signs of its former life as a residence for the Maharajah’s guests everywhere and it was just the most comfortable place in which to base ourselves. We loved being able to walk into the city centre and also to other nearby restaurant and eateries (check our Dosa Point nearby). The décor is stunning, both in the communal areas and the rooms. Our room had a lovely large balcony overlooking the central atrium which was a great spot to sit in a morning and watch the place wake up. We could probably have done without the saxophonist playing there before 8am on morning, however…! Staff were so friendly, always looking out for us and helping with all of our queries, and the restaurant, Tiger Trail, was stunning. We ate there twice in our four-night stay which is rare for us as we like to eat in new places but that’s a testament to how good it was. The room itself was clean and comfortable but the icing on the cake was the stunning swimming pool in the grounds. We enjoyed a couple of relaxing afternoons or early morning swims there – and despite the hotel being on a main road, the grounds are so full of plants and trees that you would never know how close you were to city life. Could have stayed here much longer – it was the ideal choice in Mysuru for us.

This quality of this hotel is not at all commensurate with the quality of the ***y hotels of a similar price in which we have stayed in India and it is difficult to see how it justifies the price. It offers a mixture traditional rooms and modern rooms. The traditional rooms are of a poor standard and require updating, particularly the bathrooms. The newer ‘deluxe’ rooms are of basic quality, quite small. Ours had a damp odour and there was evidence of plumbing and structural problems next to the outside of our door (see photos). The service in the restaurant is appalling. With the exception of one waitress (Bindiya) our requests and those of the other guests had to be followed up several times. Despite this when the bill is presented for signature the waiters stood expectantly waiting for a tip. The outside area lacks charm (see photo) however it is preferable to the dark canteen like dining room where tables are laid from breakfast. ***y guests take food outside, occupying tables that were not laid up, finding their own cutlery to carry ***** with their food. In contrast, the female receptionist was extremely helpful and charming. The only redeeming factor of this hotel.

Fabulous heritage hotel. Service can be better but we had a great time Nice breakfast spread, we stayed at Maharaja suite and it's a big room, wish there was a welcome food kit. Swimming pool is nice, though not big but it's sufficient and they have a nice bar where service can be improved. Overall wr had a great time.

Great food in a heritage hotel, beautiful garden. Relaxed a**osphere. I had South Indian style shrimps cooked in a banana leaf, with South Indian bread. Service is also highest standard. Literally the best food I had during my stay in India. I will be back.

As most of weekend to various parts of country Academic trip to mysuru for a talk ! Stayed in Royal Metropole ! Real heritage of hotel and build with open airs, Victorian arches , paintings and real ancient trees made to feel like staying somewhere in remote Devonshire hotel! Staff especially @ reception Vanajakshi exceptional with smiling face inspite of pressurised environment during both check in and check out really adds quality to hotel explaining nature of training in a real heritage place! Fabulous 👏other staff Jagdish Bhagyashree Krishna Rohith all are very committed and friendly! Overall an outstanding experience! I would love to visit again to mysuru to stay in metropole . I would give all 5 star rating for this stay! Well done hotel ***agement 👏👏👏👏

It was an wonderful experience at Royal orchid meteropole.. Staff was very polite.. ***atri nd the team went extra mile to make our stay memorable.. We stayed for 3 days... Food was very good...only one thing which we did not like was the TBH food menu which they should change everyday...

The ambience is very pleasant. The staff were very courteous. The food was excellent. Overall a wonderful experience.

Amazing place. In fact it is a tiny palace in the heart of the city. Mr Rishi and Mr Harish are the best GMs in the hotel industry whom I met so far in Mysore. I’m thankful to Royal Orchid Group (KABINI, METROPOLE and BRINDAVAN GARDENS) for making all my stay a very pleasant and eventful. Honestly, just because of these two gentlemen I visit Royal Orchid Hotels frequently. That’s the quality level has set by these two. Jeevan
