Great venue for a conference. Rooms are great. Conference center bar tenders Naser & Kim were phenomenal. Audio for meetings was good. Center IT folks were quick with microphones and quietly flying around to help. I would recommend the Westin Nashville for a show.
The Conrad Hotel is in Midtown, on a street which becomes Broadway. It is about a 20 minute walk straight down that street to Downtown, so convenient for anyone who wants to enjoy the nightlife of the area without the bother of driving or taxis. It is newly built, and the rooms are well designed, with lots of cupboard space and a modern bathroom. My room had an L=shaped chaise longue fr relaxing, and a well-lit desk for working. Both at the desk and by the bed, there were ample power sockets and effective free WiFi. Flight cancellations and re-routing meant that I arrived at about 11pm, only to discover that no food was available even on room service, as the kitchen closed at 10.30. Being rather frazzled after a trying day’s travelling, I made something of a fuss. This attracted the attention of the night manager, who sent out for takeaway food for me from a local restaurant, and would not accept payment, either for my food or for the drink that I had with it at the bar when it arrived. When I checked in, I was told that the concierge would be on duty at 10 the following day (Sunday). When I duly turned up at 10 am, wanting to arrange a private city, I learned that the concierge was “taking a couple of days off”. However, again, the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. One of the people on the front desk took over, arranged my tour for me, and give me good recommendations for sights to see. Even the door men were friendly and genuinely helpful. So, 5 stars for the amenities and the excellent staff. But why does such a great hotel catering for international travellers shut its kitchens at 10.30: and why does it only have one concierge? That means only 4 stars overall.
Excellent hotel. Excellent location. Helpful and smiling staff.
The only problem we had was that we asked to extend our stay by one more night, the price jumped to double then what we paid for one night.
(We had to look for another hotel and in the end we found an excellent hotel at a better price and in a better location....so everything worked out for the best for us...)
One of the best places I’ve stayed at in Tennessee. The views of the hotel towards the back neighborhood are quite beautiful. The gym is pretty good. And the breakfast is top!
ゲゲスト'Superfirstly', this La Quintas has the most amazing staff; above and beyond assistance, friendly, welcoming, kind and I mean EVERY staff member we encountered from desk to behind the scenes who we passed in the elevator, arriving at work, EVERYONE!!! deep appreciation to staff members, Diamond who literally 'concierged' us in, and was in charge of our floor and, Kumani who lent us an umbrella, Tracy who was so kind when he came to attend to the TV that was in fact working, the Check in staff on the afternoon of the 27th July who gave great advice and the staff member who brought us additional toiletries we required. (edit) one super comfortable pillow out of the 3 on each bed and a firm, comfortable mattress - perfect for us.
Firstly, it was practically, fantastically 10 minutes' walk into Downtown via the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge for sights over the Cumberland River of Downtown and the Nissan Stadium. It's been modernised compared to La Quintas elsewhere, but do not order the Onion Rings at the bar (horrid)! the 'dry rubbed wings' were great! Otherwise, the bar and seating/lounge area is welcoming, but I never tried the breakfast.
The car park was easily accessible and one of the best prices in the area. All in all, our experience at La Quintas in Nashville, Stadium contributed positively to our overall fantastic short stay and hopefully, building works (no noise) across the way will be complete when we stay again in the future.
Hotel was excellent. Great location, clean, comfortable and wonderful staff. We were able to check in early which took off the stress of coming in on a very early flight and this was greatly appreciative. And to top it off, the manager D’Anglo sold us the penthouse with a balcony which we loved the most. Also enjoyed the refreshing water provided in the lobby. Thank you again for wonderful accommodations!
The room was unspectacular but clean and free of smoke smell. I was only in Nashville for a one-night stay, so it worked well for that purpose. There were two relatively minor inconveniences that would have become more annoying on a multiple day stay: First, the bedside lamp was missing its on/off switch, so the only way to operate it was to screw/unscrew the light bulb. Second, there was no electrical outlet easily accessible from the bed, which made charging my phone and plugging in my c-pap more impractical than it should have been. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful but no breakfast items were put out at all. This was an issue for me as well because I made this trip on a shoestring budget to do some personal research and thus had to end up skipping breakfast altogether. All in all, three stars for the clean room and courteous, helpful staff. For the price, in a major tourist trap, for one night, the accommodations were fine. For an extended stay or if you are a traveler who enjoys the extras, I would consider staying somewhere else.
