Had a wonderful massage here with Theodoros, best massage I have ever had, I chose a deep tissue back neck and scalp massage and paid €80, from the minute I walked into the spa I felt comfortable, the massage itself was really good, working out some really stressed knots especially in my lower back and shoulders. Highly recommend Theodoros. I felt very calm and he checked on me throughout which left me feeling relaxed on leaving. Thank you so much

Amazing massage at aegeo spa, Stella was fantastic and all was so relaxing. Stella explained everything and made me feel at ease when I booked the treatment I said I was pregnant and Stella adapted the treated so it suited myself . When I arrived felt so welcome. Me and my partner stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and we had a lovely time! The breakfast was nice, with all your usual breakfast foods, pancakes were lovely and cooked fresh! We were only half board so ate from the al a carte menu from the taverna for lunches and the chicken souvlaki was unreal, lovely traditional Greek food on the menu so was good to be able to taste some of the different Greek foods. Dinner was buffet style and had lots to choose from, different meats cooked fresh, chefs were lovely and always very smiley! All of the bar staff were also very smiley and friendly, big shout out to the animations team setting up activities during the day and entertainment in the night time, they were also very lovely and made us feel so welcome! The location is quite remote, however they offer free shuttle service to the two nearby towns and have a supermarket inside the hotel which was very helpful for forgotten items and snacks! The reception staff were lovely and very helpful, we wanted to check out of our room late as we had a night flight and they helped accommodate for us to stay in our room longer. We really had a lovely time at this hotel and our overall experience was great! Thank you to everyone at Portes beach hotel.

Hotel is beautiful, very clean and well maintained. Food was varied and as expected for all inclusive. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Room had very comfortable, large bed and the maids do an excellent job and were so quick and helpful to come change bedding asap after my Son was sick (due to all the travelling). Pool area is lovely though the pool itself absolutely freezing so would have been much more enjoyable if heated! The animation team all very friendly and my Son really enjoyed the mini disco. Could do with more for the kids during the day though. Inside play area was only set up on our last day and was very small and mainly for babies though it did look like maybe more would be added? The hotel grounds are beautiful and well looked after. Stunning views. Apart from a couple cons as mentioned, really lovely hotel. Location wasn’t really for us though. Was pretty much in the middle of nowhere, along a very fast main road (see last photo-this is the view from the front of the hotel).You are pretty much stuck in the hotel grounds unless paying for taxis out. Wouldn’t recommend but that is based on the location only!

The spa offers massage therapy and I have to say I am quite experienced in what is good & have to say Theodore specialises in Cretan massage. 10/10 I came away floating on air highly recommended the staff were all very friendly and professional

I went to the spa at the hotel which was amazing, I feel amazing. The prices was great not to expense for the time spent on it The lady who done my massage and facial was Stella she was amazing and very welcoming I would recommend this and would do it again myself.

I will be writing another review about the hotel when I am home, I would just like to mention the Argen spa that is in the hotel, I took out the Cretan massage and it was 100% worth the money, what a relaxing and chilled experience, 70 mins of full enjoyment, all staff are friendly and make you welcome the moment you walk him.. I would fully recommend this if you come to the Portes beach hotel

We recommend this hotel because of its cleanliness, wholesome food, and location next to the Blue Flag beach. But mostly the great staff particularly Stella from the Spa. Stella helped us start our holiday with a fantastic massage, thanks

Had a good experience one week holiday. Hotel is a family hotel. Perfect if you just want to relax by the pool or beach. Staff work very hard keeping the area clean & tidy for guests. A good selection of food everyday - plenty of choice. Free bottles of water given at bars. The asset of this hotel is the beach location, it is not close to any other shops or bars. We did walk to nea poteidaia one day but would not recommend the walk to anyone with mobility issues or prams, due to state of some of the paths . Hotel runs a courtesy bus to a couple of nearby places . The hairdryers were good so no need to pack your own. WiFi signal was excellent indoors & out. There is book shelf if you run out of reading materials. My partner was badly bitten by mosquitoes which meant we did not venture out to pool entertainment at night. Closest pharmacy in the nearby towns so do pack things you might need. There is a shop onsite . There is also what looks like a nice jewellers in the hotel but no prices on display which put me off venturing in (assumed it must be expensive) As someone who has travelled solo many times I would say this felt a safe place to be. So if you want to chill & relax this isa good place to go.
