Why this place not a 5-star we really don't understand! The Argyle is one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. The level of service and friendliness of the staff is simply outstanding. The grounds are so tasteful. A quiet oasis with gorgeous views of Adam's Peak and surrounding landscape. The staff made it their business to know everything about their guests' whereabouts. We came back from Adam's Peak at noon after a very long (but fantastic) night – of course breakfast was long over. But they had a table in the restaurant ready for us and we could ask for whatever we wanted for a late breakfast. Later that evening, different staff in the restaurant asked us if we were still tired from the night's activities – and even the next day more staff asked about it. We had a Bruce room with balcony; the room was really tasteful, the website photos do not do it justice. The shower was great. The view from the balcony is just stunning – Adam's Peak in the background and wonderful sunsets. The day we arrived we had a room service lunch – a Sri Lankan dish – and it was gorgeous. The restaurant is nice – not too big and not too cold from the aircon as in so many other places. The temperature was just right. We felt totally spoiled during our stay and really did not want to leave. We've love to come back.

Lovely hotel with wonderful carding staff. Small hotel with fabulous location in the centre of the tea plantations. We had a small problem with our room so we’re moved immediately to another room with a glorious view near the pool great place to relax. The food was more limited as it’s only a small hotel. But definitely enough selection. Friendly helpful and attentive staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the Argyle. The room was excellent with views over the tea plantation. The restaurant was very good, and there was a good choice of both Sri Lankan and western cuisine. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and took great care to ensure that everything was to our liking. We spent quite a lot of time travelling around the area, and so were unable to take full advantage of the excellent facilities at the Argyle, although the pool was very welcoming after long walks through the plantation. We have no hesitation in recommending the Argyle to anyone travelling to this part of Sri Lanka.

On our tour of Sri Lanka, this has been our favourite hotel for 5* comfort and service. Situated on a hillside overlooking tea plantations with mountains in the distance, this modern boutique hotel is truly impressive from the luxurious rooms with balcony overlooking the pool area to the wonderful variety of food available in the restaurant. The staff are very well trained, but friendly and courteous. We enjoyed an excellent 2 night stay and just wish it had been longer.

Totaly reccomend. Very warm welcome from ALL staff, mr. Vit****ash helped us with all requests (had one ill in the group, he helped get the doctor & medicine). Rooms are spatious, bathroom large & clean. Every detail was taken care of (gardeners, fitness, pool), dinner & breakfast almost a la carte (enough menus to choose from) !

Lovely stay at your property! A lot of care & attention is given to the entire property, rooms are maintained well and has the best view of Adams peak, Staff very hospitable, specially need to mention Vithu & Darshan. One constructive feedback would be to look into your food portion size and spice level. For dinner we had Mongolian rice which was wasted a lot and was extremely spicy, it didn't taste well. For breakfast having one sautéed button mushroom was very disappointing. Apart to that all other food was really nice. I'm sure you can look into this. Thank you for your hospitality.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious. The rooms had everything you could possibly need and a big shout out to all the staff including Dilshan, Naomi, Udaya, yashoda, Pasindu and especially to Shiva who was so friendly and had time to talk to us. Would recommend this hotel highly.

It was a fantastic one night stay on full board basis at this marvelous place. Hotel staff is very much friendly and the food was great. It was absolutely a real luxury experience. Hotel premises are well maintained. The view for the rooms were brilliant. In morning you can view the great adams peak at your balcony. Architecture of the hotel is a thing to admire.

We stayed during the last weekend of April 2024 and had a really great experience. Hotel is modern and well maintained. Everything was clean, neat and tidy and staff was paying attention to every minor detail. We were welcome by the executive Shiva and he was like the host during our stay. Every staff member was so friendly and was greeting the guests with a smile on their face. Their attitude for better customer service/experience was quite visible. The room was well equipped with all the amenities, and everything was working perfectly well. Unlike in most of the other hotels, the wifi was really fast and stable. The hotel tour was a great experience and executive Vi****ash did a great job in showing around. Executive Shiva was so friendly and was voluntarily helping us and all the other guests in taking the pictures. He was so passionate about it, and it was the fist time ever we had such great experience from a hotel staff member. From the way everyone was treating the guests, it was quite visible that all are so passionate about their job. One of the best hospitality experience from a local hotel and highly recommend.
