ヴィラ チンゴ(Villa Chingo)

This villa has a spectacular view from your bedroom! Your balcony is right in front of your bed with the most awesome view of Lake Ohrid and the mountainside behind you. Very spacious room, comfortable bed and pillows, nice size refrigerator in the room with you. There is a kitchen that you can utilize to cook with. Stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans. There is also salt and spices that you can use too. The cons is the location. Especially if you do not rent a car. Unless you have service on your cell phone where you can call a taxi you will have to rely on the host to call the Taxi for you to get into town. It is a 15 minute drive into town. The taxi ride cost seven dollars each way. There is no rideshare app that you can use in that area. Once you’re in town, it is easy to pick up a taxi from there. You can walk up to anyone along the street and ask them for a ride back to the Villa. 

Generally a very good place to stay near Ohrid. Remember to contact the host in advance: he had not received our booking, ********** contacted him and he was there in 5-10 minutes. He apologized multiple times and made our room available very quickly. He is very kind and talkative, giving good recommendations. The view from our very big balcony was amazing!! The place is clean and comfortable with a kitchen shared with the other guests. We had issues to sleep due to dogs of the neighborhood barking constantly and lack of curtains.

The owner, Chingo, is a ver nice guy who does everything he can to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are simple but comfortable and hav great views of the lake. The beach in front down the hill at the shoreline Granit is nice and you can use their facilities. The one problem is having to take a taxi to and from town, but Chingo helps to arrange everything. Overall I had a very nice experience!

Fantastic service, a small cozy family owned hotel, who really want to deliver a super good service to all guests. Several rooms have a fantastic view over the lake. This place gets my warmest recommendations.

Our room was spacious and very clean. We had big balcony with great view on the lake. Staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful.
