This hotel has many positives. It’s spotlessly clean and well-located, being just an 7-minute drive from the station, and a 10-minute walk from Piazza delle Erbe. The staff were all courteous and professional. There was a decent selection of hot and cold, and savoury and sweet foods for breakfast, the quality of which was excellent. Our room overlooked the courtyard (as we requested), so was protected from traffic noise, which was a boon, as the air-conditioning had been switched off (despite it being relatively warm in the room), necessitating sleeping with the window open. The bed and pillows were very comfy. The one quirk was the ‘style-over-substance’ wardrobe unit, with its heavy metal-mesh sliding door. At first, we didn’t realize that sliding it towards the wall (thus blocking access to the bathroom) exposed a large drawer containing the hair dryer and a safe. (Another reviewer presumably never found this ‘hidden drawer’, as they wrote in their review that there was a ”lack of drawers for shirts and accessories”.) This unit seems to have an inherent design fault: When the heavy metal-mesh door is moved towards the wall, a movement sensor switches on an LED strip light in the wardrobe. When the door is closed, the sensor beam is interrupted, so the light should go off. However, when closed, the door isn’t physically close enough to the sensor to interrupt the beam completely, so, to prevent nuisance tripping, they’ve added a magnetic rod to bridge the air-gap and cover the sensor enough to switch off the light. Unfortunately, this magnetic rod is easily displaced, so if you don’t realize you’ve moved it, the light remains on until the magnetic rod is put back into its correct position. A nuisance if you have to get a maintenance engineer to come and fix it. (Photo. attached.) All in all we had a great stay, and would certainly return.
The photos of the hotel internally is nothing like it is now so don’t expect what you see. The staff were exceptional, friendly, accommodating and very helpful. Nothing detrimental on their behalf and our room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable.Aircon was ok but doesn’t go below 20 so I think the summer temperatures might have a struggle. However! The wellness centre is closed completely. The pool is closed. for private functions only . The bar closes early. Breakfast is …..well the reviews were not wrong. We tried the restaurant….when it was open ( closed during our visit more than once) set menu, costly and …..like the breakfast, lacking in quantity. The bar has no ambience and the chairs are boardroom style and uncomfortable. This is not our first BW hotel stay but it very nearly could be.
The Best Western Plus location was very close to all of the activities we had planned for our quick visit to Padova. The hotel is clean, modern, updated, with the convenience of breakfast served daily. Staff are extremely helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel.
By mistake by Marriott, we reserve the hotel because on the hotel website at the reservation time on the hotel description was indicated”TOTALLY RENEW ON 2023”. Is not true!!!!!(Now, after my complaint on Marriott Bonvoy customer care they remove the description!!) Just on few floor the just change the carpet.....Door handle rusty, bathroom not adeguate At the similar price a lot better AC hotel Padova(always Marriott Chain)

This is one of the nicest places we stayed in Italy but it had one extreme problem...they turn off the air conditioning in ALL the rooms Oct 1st. We stayed mid October. Our room got to 30 celcius (86 degrees f) and they couldnt turn on the air. We were told it was winter time and the air is off and cannot be turned on. I couldnt sleep so I opened the window only to have to kill many many flying bugs. The bugs just keep flying in. I had to close the window and endoure the heat. I was part of a group and EVERYONE (at least 15 couples) complained about the heat, but the employees couldnt do anything about it. Traveler beware...after Oct 1st, if its hot, your going to cook in these rooms.

素晴らしい
Our room looked onto the Basilica of San Antonio and it’s giant Christmas tree with beautiful sparkling lights, and church bells, made this hotel very special. We checked in online and never saw a receptionist ever. Every street door, room door and bistro door opens with your phone. Beds are comfortable, room has everything we needed, reasonable pillows. Decent sized and clean ,modern bathrooms. Breakfast downstairs is part of the bistro. Nice menu with a variety of dishes and good service. The cafe staff booked our taxi on the first day before we learned about the IT Taxi App. The owner also booked us our early morning taxi. The hotel is near to all the sights of Padua. If i were to nitpick i would love coffee served in the rooms (there is a kettle with tea only). I missed my coffee. Lovely hotel and would recommend it. Get a room with a view
I stayed here for one night and it was just what I needed. The host Angela was very kind, the room was very clean and fine, and i really enjoyed our stay in this very interesting city. The main sites are just a short walk away and Angela was very helpful in helping us understand the layout of the city.
ゲゲストThe hotel Donatello is well located across from the city's Basilica di San Antonio, and about 5 minutes from the famous Prato della Valle and 10-15 from the city centre and old city (university, ghetto, daily markets, pedestrian street, etc). From the outside, the hotel looks quite elegant and I suspect that front facing rooms have a nice view. To be honest, however, everything else about the hotel was rather disappointing. Rooms are actually tired and pretty gloomy. The single rooms are extremely small, the doubles are of decent size but tend to overlook blind narrow courtyards and feel rather dark and a bit depressing with a decor that seems stuck in the 1970s. Cleanliness is variable, lighting unpleasant, and whilst beds are decent, the pillows are hard and quite uncomfortable. Breakfast is quite poor. If you come when one of the ladies taking care of the breakfast room are around, they will prepare you a decent coffee from the barista machine, however, if they are not, it is a fairly ghastly automatic machine that uses instant coffee to make ”fake” espressos and cappuccino which is used instead. Juice is a strange watery thing from a machine. The best part are the nice homemade cornetti (croissants filled with jam, cream or chocolate) but apart from them, fruit, salad, bread, etc are all of poor quality and the scrambled eggs and meat are stone cold. There is a toaster which doesn't seem to work well and mediocre bread. Service in the hotel is not very friendly - reception staff ranged from reasonably cordial to barely polite and in one case, outright unpleasant. In short, the place is certainly not horrible, but equally, it doesn't seem too bothered about customers let alone interested in making them want to come back. A bit of a wasted opportunity given the nice location they fail to capitalise on.
Very clean, spacious rooms with comfortable Beds. Last But not Least: The personnel is very friendly and always ready to make An extra mile. Pay attention to Norman- he is certanly the best waiter I've ever seen. Highly reccomended
On arrival reception advised me that we had a room upgrade. The room was in apartment Galalio approx 200 mtrs from reception within the hotel grounds. Shortly after entering our room the air conditioning screen had a message on the screen that said HELP. Further, the bathroom extraction fan did not work and when we left our room the room card did not let us re-enter the room. Room upgrade!?!?. The gentleman on Reception said it was a software problem. An Artificial Intelligence problem which I would describe as Artificial Stupidity. We were given a complementary breakfast as compensation. The hotel restuarant is closed on Sundays and the hotel reccomended Resturante Zairo, Prato della Valle which turned out to be poor, both service and food. Hotel Pellegrino in my opinion is a combination of hotel and airbnb.
Great place for the money. Loved the restaurant at Giorgio, they make exceptional pizza. We spent all the time in the gym and later in the pool, where we met two great tip-tap-toe dancers from Frosinone. The only problem was that the neighbouring room complained for the banging at 3 am. But that was our fault, we admit, and we’re deeply sorry. Padova (Padua) is an amazing city, full of things, but a bit over the place. The main sight we suggest is the “Ponte de quatro martiri” where you can enjoy the sunset and the spiders hanging around. Also we suggest a day to Legnaro, the only thing is to beware incoming thunderstorms. The best thing about Padua though is the bus system, which is free and always on time. I’ve forgot to mention the beautiful Capela di Scovregni, where you can admire the masterpieces by Lionardo and Rafaello. We would also like to thank the staff for their exceptional service, summed by the motto: “NO”, which they told meant “of course”. The only complaint was when we asked for the access to the meeting room, to which they replied: “…cuesti a un cost”, which made us realise how tough life is for everyone
We were only there for a night. We have a quadruple room which is separated through a sliding door. At check in time the room were ready, it was clean and okay. The kettle was there with instant coffee, tea, sugar and 2 paper cups. More you could ask at the reception. At night the room with the twin bed were suddenly smell like cigarette. As a non smoking family, with a child which has asthma, not a good sign. The smell was so intensive, that it was impossible to sleep. I would say the window has bad isolation. They were fully booked, but at least after begging hard i could get an extra room for my asthmatic child at midnight. Try to get the room with odd number, they are definitely quieter.
