Two bedroom unit was fantastic. Well appointed, kitchen was equipped and a good size, we had a washer/dryer in the unit. This property is near downtown, an easy walk, but away from the crush of cruise ship traffic. It's across the street from the bay, where locals swim in the morning and walk on the beach (join them -- the water is great!) and we all thought it was a pretty perfect place from which to explore the Bay of Islands.

Spent a couple of days in Pahia with a friend mountain biking and playing golf. Stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with views over the pool and out to the water. Nice big apartment, huge lounge, nice balcony overlooking the pool. Very comfortable. Two niggles: it's very hard to get out of the underground parking, and they don't heat the pool. My own pool isn't much smaller at home, it costs me about $150-200 per month to heat. When I'm paying about $550 per night for an apartment, heat the damn pool it was freezing.

Fantastic place to stay. Friendly helpful staff. Clean and very comfortable rooms. Stunning views. Highly recommend. Winter less north of NewZealand. Plenty of places to visit. Did a cold call in and got a luxury apartment. We were only going to stay 1 night but stayed 2 as it was so nice.

The rooms are tired and need to be spruced up. Reception was not welcoming. The bar next door was noisy until late at night. Overall it was very poor value as they charged extremely high tariff for average accommodation. GST was added after purchase.

The suites do not have in-suite laundry as advertised. The machine in the suite neither washes nor dries, and it's clear from the number of drying racks provided in the parking that it's a widespread problem.
