Really unique and special place. This was our second year in a row visiting over Presidents Day weekend and we plan to make this an annual tradition for our family. We've now stayed in both the original "alpine" chalet side of the hotel as well as the new modern side. Both are amazing for different reasons. Very European vibe and energy. We're a family of four with two children (14 and 11). The small format of the hotel and the proximity to the ski lifts are what originally drew us to this property. But we really love the staff and management. The team consists of a group of really interesting international staff, both at the hotel and the restaurant. The property doesn't overwhelm. It allows you to get more comfortable and invites you to find fun and unique aspects like the second floor cocktail lounge with fireplace or the smores on the top floor. And the Director of Rooms, Taylor Stevens, went out of his way to be sure my family felt comfortable and happy our entire stay. I don't often write reviews, but this unique property, great restaurant and amazing team deserve five stars. We'll be back next year.

been going to deer valley for many years and always wanted to stay at goldener and it did not disappoint , we stayed in old part which is updated and well maintained but there is a gigantic new area as well , the old still has the classic vibe , great for skiing they have lockers for you, special are on mountain for skis, and slopes are literally steps away , limited in choices for food bars etc but park city 5 minute drive down the hill , 5 star luxury , not shy on the prices but it is what it is .

Superb property mixing old with the new. From the Austrian Hotel part of the property to the fabulous new Residences! Loved our stay. Staff excellent and engaging. Highly recommend - you won't be disappointed!

The Goldener Hirsch provided a lovely 4 day escape to Deer Valley. The resort was impeccably and stylishly furnished, and each staff member was a joy. The convenience of the resort to the lift and the luxury of having ski lockers and outside ski storage made this an effortless trip.The roof top pool and sauna keep the post-ski aches at bay! We were constantly greeted by smiles from staff each day. We will be back to visit next year, and bringing friends!

First-class in every sense of the word. Taylor, the GM, is absolutely outstanding as is the terrific team. Jonah, Christoph, Agata and everyone else we interacted with treated us with such respect. My family and I love staying here and we plan on returning year after year. We HIGHLY recommend the hotel. It has ski in/ski out, a great hot tub and pool, live music each evening, and most importantly a top-notch staff.

My wife and I just finished a 3 night stay here. The hotel is incredible - it’s rare that a hotel is nicer than the pictures - but the place is meticulously maintained and everything is very high quality (Wolf appliances in our suite, solid wood doors with concealed hinges, steam showers, high end furniture, etc). The food is creative and excellent. And the best part about the resort is the staff, they seem to like working there and take a genuine interest in you and making sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back.

We had lunch here and our reserved table was ready thirty minutes early when we arrived. They offered us slippers so we could take off our ski boots. My daughter thought that was the coolest! The service was fantastic start to finish. We ordered the fondue and it was probably the best fondue we have ever had. The kids enjoyed the children’s menu steak option. Our only recommendation would be that they serve the dessert chocolate fondue with a flame underneath. It comes out in just a dish and it was already lukewarm when served. After a few bites it was cold. But overall an incredible dining experience. Be sure you make a reservation well in advance!

This resort checks all the boxes - new, spacious, and luxuriously decorated rooms, prime location, excellent dining and most importantly a staff that goes above and beyond. When my husband was injured on our ski trip they took incredible care of all our needs. Special thanks to Maddie in reservations, Angel and Jonathan and the rest of the front desk team, Emma and Abraham at the concierge, and the whole shuttle and ski valet team especially Furkan!
