Beautiful seaside hotel. Everything is arranged for perfect comfort - the bed is incredibly comfortable and top quality bath products. But it’s the stylish interior design that makes it so much more enjoyable, both of the rooms and the common areas. There is a sitting room where you can quietly read or play cards, with a bar for a nightcap. And the breakfast the next morning was sublime. The staff are also very friendly, with lots of local recommendations. Highly recommend.

Lovely, personable staff. The rooms are really well equipped and the mini bar and snacks thoughtfully chosen and high quality. The interior design of the rooms is thoughtful & deft which makes it all feel like a special and personal treat ..

My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Artist Residence while we were touring the SW coast of Cornwall. The accommodations, service and food are all outstanding, and the staff (in particular, Jonathan) were very helpful in giving recommendations for restaurants, hikes, where to go and where not to go, etc.! We loved our room (Chapel Suite) with its spaciousness and bay window views of Chapel Street! We were so grateful for the warm welcome and exceptional service...plus knowing we always had a great meal at our finger tips was very helpful! Thank you so much!!

Very chic hotel with an amazing buzzy vibe. Lovely staff on the front-desk. Arrived quite late but this wasn't an issue. Very clean room and bathroom. Location is ideal, so close to the town centre. Can't fault them and will likely be staying there again in the future.

This hotel in Penzance was perfectly situated for the town, the sea front and restaurants. The food was well presented and very tasty. We were impressed with the room, with its delightful decor and comfortable king size bed. The staff were fully attentive to our needs, helpful and courtious at all times.

We found ourselves unexpectedly needing to stay overnight in Penzance. A friend recommended Artist Residence. The staff made us feel really welcome despite us arriving without booking and late into the evening. Delicious breakfast, friendly and efficient staff. Lovely, simple but stylish room.

Relatively famished, I perused the outdoor placard displaying the varied menu. My eyes gravitated to the Ruben sandwich, which is under a tenner, quite sizeable (enough to share if you’re not ravenous), and, on the whole, quite scrumptious. The pastrami, however, was a bit stringy and over-hot (perhaps passive-aggressively microwaved in a rush?) Nevertheless, the combo of sauerkraut and Russian dressing really worked. Front of House, meanwhile, is friendly and accommodating, but clearly understaffed and unnecessarily rushed off their feet. Otherwise, the ambience is crackling with character and coziness; the Wi-Fi is very good; in all, a place worth returning to on the regular.

Beautiful quirky room with lovely furnishings and artwork. The bed was super comfortable and the complimentary toiletries were exceptional. Could do with some more storage for small items - a drawer or two for instance. The mini bar was well-stocked but took up space for hanging clothes.
