Rieser Achensee Resort

The Rieser hotel was always beautiful, luxurious and a pleasure to stay in, however since its incredible expansion outwards with new pools, additional saunas and relaxation areas it has become a resort in its own right. Much thought has gone into what guests are offered and what makes a true recipe for relaxation - for example the provision of hot and cold drinks all day, an impressive guided sauna program, expanded activities, and little touches that are discovered as you stay and relax (e.g. the little pots of ready made menthol salt in the sauna areas). The new bedrooms are beautiful, comfortable and have gorgeous views of the mountains. Room service is excellent and any requests are met without issue. Overall service across this hotel is outstanding, a high level of staff training and expectation is obvious and yet there is an understated Austrian culture. The food is extensive, delicious and innovative - it was always fantastic but the detail and technique now on show in the evening meals is outstanding. There is considerable choice with food and you can opt whether you fully indulge or request lighter options. Either way the activities on the doorstep are fabulous - hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing etc etc which enables you to burn some of it off. Before you collapse into the spa for hours. The provision for children is outstanding and they are genuinely welcome at this hotel. The mini bath robes, extensive menu in the evening which you can pick and mix with the main menus and a lovely downstairs hangout area with games, table tennis etc are highlights. The pools, the private freshwater lake and the bikes kept us fully entertained. This is an excellent multi generational hotel - indeed 4 generations of the same family are owners and stewards of it. It is possible for multiple age ranges to stay, relax, enjoy and have freedom leaving everyone extremely happy.

Excellent hotel, very clean, delicious food and good facilities. Good location and able to hike to a range of destinations without using the car. Friendly and helpful staff. Our Feilkopf room was modern, spacious and comfortable with a good view of the mountains.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel for a week with my 2-year-old. The friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and their attentive service was much appreciated. The hotel's location was ideal, allowing us to easily explore the area's attractions. What stood out to me was the delicious food offered at the hotel's restaurant, which both my toddler and I enjoyed. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to others looking for a family-friendly and well-located place to stay.

Family owned, caring staff, delicious food with well sorted wine menu, nice comfy suite, spa and sauna area stunning, all day (6am-6pm) water, coffee and softdrinks for free, well maintained and challenging golf course and dog and us felt super welcomed from start till end

We stayed at Hotel Rieser for 4 nights and wished it could have been longer, the spa and swimming pool facilities are excellent. We stayed in the Alpine Loft Rofan room which was spacious, lovely views and spotlessly clean, the food was outstanding with plenty of choice and all the staff were excellent. We would recommend this hotel and hope to be able to go back in the future.

We came for one week, including the new year evening. The hotel SPA (swimming pools and sauna/hammam) are clean and nice, nothing to complain. The rooms are ok, the bed should be more comfortable. The breakfast is very good and the food in general is ok, even if the service is quite slow and inefficient. Why this rate? In overall, the price is still expensive for the service and the new year "experience" was awful. I never felt so unwelcome in my entire life. First, they request you to come at 7pm (everyone) but the lobby (where everyone stayed) is too small for all the clients. Eventually, you can sit in the restaurant at your table for around 3 hours and then at 10.30 pm you realise that there is not enough site around the bar and that you should have booked a table to listen the music with a glass, but no one told you before. There are not many options in this small village to party elsewhere. So, for 600€ per night, you can stay up for 3 hours begging the waiter for a drink or go to sleep at 10pm for New Year's Eve!

We stayed here for a short break and overall had a very good experience. A few minor tweaks would give this hotel best ratings from us. We had a junior suite, which wasn’t one of the most recently refurbished rooms, but it was spacious, with nice furnishings, a view of the lake from the balcony, and a very comfy bed. We arrived early but our room was ready, despite the hotel being fully booked. There was a light lunch buffet as well as afternoon cakes included in the rate. We liked the spacious spa area and especially the natural pond, which had just the right temperature for swimming on a warm day. Dinner was excellent, with a good wine menu, plus attentive and friendly service as well. We were not-so sure about some of the decoration choices in the restaurant in particular, we missed a bit of a coherent style. The restaurant terrace is positioned against a hedge, which shields against a local road and this felt a bit inconsistent with the rest of the setting. Thank you to the hotel staff for letting us use the lovely leisure facilities on the day of departure.

Seit vielen Jahren bin ich regelmäßig Gast im Hotel Rieser. Die Lage im wunderbaren Ort Pertisau ist perfekt. Sowohl Gäste als auch Einheimische verbreiten eine tolle Stimmung, die einen sofort ankommen lässt. Das Haus liegt im Ort, umgeben von Wald und gegenüber einer großen Wiese. Der Empfang ist immer herzlich und "als wäre man nie weg gewesen". Man spürt, dass Familie Rieser die Gastlichkeit total lebt und auch die Mitarbeiter das komplett übernommen haben. Zimmer sind in den vers. Kategorien liebevoll gestaltet und werden regelmäßig renoviert. Die Küche ist handwerklich top, regional geprägt und auch super flexibel. Seit wir mit Kind reisen, wissen wir auch das Spielzimmer, den neuen Kinder-Wasser-Bereich und das Kinder-Menü zu schätzen. Pool, Ruheräume etc. sind teilweise erst 2023 erneuert und immer top gepflegt. Der Bereich ab 15 Jahren lässt auch Eltern mal zur Ruhe kommen. Wir wissen, warum wir immer wieder kommen und können das Haus nur von Herzen empfehlen!

Das Rieser ist perfekt. :) Hier stimmt einfach alles. Freundliches Personal, super Hotel, sehr gutes Essen. Absolut kinderfreundlich und alle Mitarbeiter super nett. Und sie kümmern sich sofort um die Wünsche der Gäste. Egal ob was fürs Kinde gemacht werden muss oder man als Gast einen Wunsch hat. Der Service ist herausragend. Bin mit Familie seit 2016 regelmäßig da. Die Qualität ist immer auf Top Niveau. Es gibt einfach nichts, was man kritisieren kann. Echt nicht! Genießt den Aufenthalt. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen. Und wir kommen wieder. Versprochen!
