スプリング ホテル ビタコラ(Spring Hotel Bitacora)

We stayed at the Bita Cora last September. We arrived at the hotel just in time for dinner, the food was to a great standard. The hotel was very clean and modern (except for the broken mirror in the lift). There was entertainment on all day for kids and also a private pool area for the adults only. We went half board so when ordering drinks at the bar you scanned your wrist band and the charges go onto your room bill, you were not able to pay as you went along at the bar. However you could have went up to the reception at any time and paid your bill if you didn’t want to wait until you checked out. The rooms were clean and modern and housekeeping serviced the room every day. We had requested a double bed in the room and our room consisted of two single beds pushed together which was completely fine however the beds did tend to push apart very easily. The beds were quite hard when sleeping at night. Breakfast time was very busy during our stay however the food was lovely and had plenty of selection. They had full English breakfast, selection of breads, croissants, crepes, salads, yoghurts and more. We found the food was very good each night also as there was a lot to choose from and if your a fussy eater like us there will always be something for you. We done the UP package one day and it was £50 each for the full day as we were half board, I think it is £25 if you are all inclusive. It was good value for your money as it was open from 11am until 7pm. It is located on the rooftop of the hotel over looking las americas. There were fridges full of beer/water and soft drinks. They also had bottles of champagne sitting out for you to help yourself alongside a bar that would make you cocktails. There was also a selection of breads, cheeses, donuts, pastries etc. They had private hot tub areas and plunge pools located all around the rooftop and plenty of sun loungers. I would recommend doing this at least one day as it was well worth the money. Overall I would definitely come back here however we did get a good deal when we stayed here however I see it is a lot more expensive that we booked before.

Facilities are perfect for families with children - entertainment day and night 3 Separate pools to cater for all Food was great with good variety each meal time Location perfect for exploring Playa de las Americas Rooms clean and lovely but not overly spacious

Nice up to date hotel,3 pools 1 adults, friendly staff, spacious rooms,great entertainment ,,good family hotel, free deposit box,close to bars and shops, beach 10 mins away ,food good, Would return,

Loved the size of the rooms, Lots of places to sit and chill in and out side of the hotel, nightly entertainment very good...always got a sunbed after our morning trips out which was a bonus, food can't fault it the best half board food we have ever had, my favourite being succulent medium rare roast beef and the freshly cooked fish so many veg and an excellent range salads to choose from, all hotel staff lovely. It does have 2 points we couldn't put up with and would stop us coming back, 1st there is no policing of (families with children coming in the Adults only Pool area)...and the 2nd the (volume) of the speakers for music and kids activities you could hear it 2 hotels away, it was deafening when you are sitting around the pool area... These are 2 points that can be very easily be rectified to suit everyone. Thanks for a lovely holiday

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the last 30 years, when I first visited it was with our son who was a small boy, the hotel then was ideal for a family and to this day it has remained the same, with the exception of doing entertainment ,ordering food etc etc on line. this is all well and good downloading apps on your phone but the internet is one of the worst I have ever encountered and I used all three that are available if you enquire about them. As I said the hotel has remained true to families and is therefore ideal for them, not so for the senior members. food is good ,rooms are good, facilities are good, but as time as moved on not for us anymore.

Amazing Hotel. Pools Were Great Fun For The Kids, Especially The Slides! Food Was Good Couldn't Complain, Entertainment Was Good For Adults & Children. UP Rooftop Area Was Superb, Highly Recommend! Overall Amazing Holiday And Would Return In A Flash

Unfortunately Bitacora's main focus seems to be on families with children. The daily loud music, and "Fun" team anouncements around the pool area could be a bit too much for those not expecting it. It's a pity really because the hotel has otherwise a lot to offer. There is an adults only pool area but the music doesn't actually stop at the steps to it. Having to go out everyday from about 11am to escape the excess animation noise level doesn't make for a very relaxing holiday. Most of the reviews, quite rightly, rate the hotel highly. If you are a bit more discerning and want a quiet relaxing experience then the Spring Bitacora is not for you.

Stayed on 2nd floor with pool view. Large room with twin beds kept clean and had good aircon. Very basic no tea/coffee facilities but soap and shower gel provided. Decoration could do with more colour to brighten it up. Food: Buffet good selection and nicely presented Pools: Good area with a pool for toddlers and a separate adults only pool and area. A bit noisy at times but no rush for sun beds, but hotel not full during my stay. Bars: Good service but didn't like pre mixed cocktails dispensed by a machine. Service: I found all staff were polite and friendly. Wi-Fi: Good in reception area but to get consistent service in rooms you need to down load the Spring app.

Nice hotel, excellent location and clean / spacious rooms, pool areas lovely. We also upgraded to UP one of the days which was a fantastic experience with stunning views, highly recommend that. However the kitchen staff could do with a lesson in customer service, one of the ladies in particular who thought it was acceptable to shout at me so a good 5/6 tables around me were all gawping and staring.. we were full board, although never ate there for dinner / tea - basically I made a bacon sandwich for breakfast on the last day, didn’t get there until 9:40 & breakfast closed at 10:00, I couldn’t finish the sandwich as still fell slightly sick (from the alcohol the night before, my own fault I know lol ) so wrapped the remaining 3/4 of the sandwich up to eat hopefully in an hour or so when I might have come round, the member of staff walked up to our area, shouted at me from a few tables away, so everyone heard & was looking at me - I was spoken to like I was some sort of criminal and made to feel humiliated, I didn’t get the lady’s name as just wanted to get out of the resteraunt, but quite frankly I find it appalling that customer staff feel it is okay to make guests feel humiliated like that, fair enough if she had come up to me quietly and said I’m really sorry food isn’t allowed to be taken out of the resteraunt I completely understand that but the way I was patronised and spoken to like a child has really disappointed me. - I would suggest a refresher course in customer service as noticed a lot of the reviews mention the rudeness off certain staff
