Hotel liegt zentral und die Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Personal war sehr lieb, würde es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!
We had such a wonderful experience at the Arts Hotel. Even before we arrived, Rita from Reception had arranged for a taxi to pick us up from Oriente Station. The room was nicely laid out, with a great shower and huge towels. We had pre-paid for a daily buffet breakfast, and the food was delicious. Lots of choices on the buffet. We also enjoyed dinner at the hotel our first night. The food was well prepared and very tasty. A big thank you to Katerina, Ines and Anthony from Reception. They offered valuable advice on walks in Porto and nearby restaurants, as well as offering to arrange for a taxi to the train station. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Porto. The great location and helpful staff also made for a great experience for us.
Stayed here for seven nights on a very enjoyable trip to Porto. Staff excellent, all very friendly and helpful. Location very good and easy to find from metro station. Plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast good, good selection of hot and cold foods and fresh fruit. Complementary snacks in the afternoon on the roof terrace a nice touch. Bedroom comfortable, large bathroom. Only criticism is lack of wardrobe space so had to leave some clothes in cases as no room to hang them all up but this did not spoil our visit. Overall a very good stay and would recommend as a good base when visiting Porto.
This hotel is in a great location. From Santa Catarina square it is very easy to access the main attractions of the city. It has a great restaurant with excellent breakfast and dinner options are reasonably priced. I didn’t like the reception, as there are no desk, just two little stand with standing staff near the door, and they are easily passed by. I was in room 431, please avoid it at any cost, it’s a prison cell. No night tables by the minuscule bed, just two stands with no drawers. The TV is in the middle of the room and it takes a lot of walkable space. You can’t move inside that room. Walls are paper thin, you can hear everything your neighbors talk, or do at night (wink) Being a member of Accor, I wasn’t even given a courtesy water bottle. I have stayed at other 4 star Mercure hotels, and they were great, this is bad…
Absolutely lovely. The staff is welcoming and nothing is too much for them to do to make your stay comfortable. The room is beautiful with every amenity you could possibly want. The bed is dreamy and everything was impeccable. Loved every minute of my stay
Impeccable stay at Utopian Hotels. From the second you walk in, you feel like you’re home. The Hotel and Rooms Utopian is located in a beautifully restored Portuguese home that still has some of its most beautiful original elements. The hotel is filled with beautiful artisanal furniture and a great selection of art and photography. The rooms are cozy and have all the amenities you need for a trip in Porto. Every detail was thought of. The rooms all have a FREE minibar filled with snacks and drinks for their guests to enjoy - such a treat - and the common area has a beautiful coffee machine with games and books to enjoy. Great Location Ideally located a short walk away from all the best restaurants and boutiques in Porto in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood, making you feel like a local! This place feels like a hidden gem and made my trip to Porto perfect.
The room was big and clean got everything. The hotel staff are professional very helpful Breakfast 17eouro if u dont book in advance if u did 12 . The location is ok because the taxies are affordable to the old city 7 eour Few restaurants around the hotel the closest are 2 sea food and another one. And one coffee place to have sweets or simple bite to eat lebon cafeteria. Not alot in the area to see.. still I got in 30 m from the airport with a taxi 25 euro make. sure it's this hotel because thier is 5 star same name hotel close by. safe place and not noisy..

素晴らしい
ゲゲストThe hotel is extremely dated. The rooms are so dark that I had to ask for an extra lamp. The hallways are also very dark. They look like in the horror movie The Shining. The coffee during breakfast was un drinkable. They are very cheap with amenities. They didn’t replace some of them and they didn’t bother with turn down service. The welcome gift consisted of three pieces of fruit.
ゲゲストLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment.
Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately.
The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied.
The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too.
Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out.
The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.
ゲゲストOur family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.
MMaggieKieuSuper nice and cozy room, however its supposed to run as Airbnb not a Hotel, you wont get cleaning services during your stay, water for the first day even and the communication to access on checkin is troublesome-like airbnb.
- Checkin/out: They didnt send the checkin information in advance, and expecting you to write them an email to get it (when you dont expect to do so for a hotel-services) - same on checkout. Hope they received the email I sent via trip.com
- Room type: The room isn’t the same as in the room photo when you booked, its another one. The one we stayed has no sofa and balcony.
- No water even on the first day, cook yourself by using the kettle or drink from tap (which not recommended in portugal)
- Cleaning: The room is clean and niche, but dont expect any cleaning services during the whole stay.
- Noise from the street: mostly day and night as its in very central walking street.
We have spent a couple of nights at the hotel and have been more than happy with the facilities and the treatment received by all the staff. The location is perfect, as you are next to the centre, but without being in the centre, which is something to be thankful for, as there is too much noise in the centre. The hotel is 100% recommendable both to relax and to enjoy the whole city.
EEmilyI recently spent four nights at Aparthotel Oporto Sol, and while my stay was overall okay, it came with a few drawbacks.
First, the location is a bit outside the main area of Porto, which required some extra effort to get into the heart of the city. While the surroundings were quiet and less crowded, I did find myself relying on public transport or taxis more than I would have liked.
One of the main issues was the absence of air conditioning in the bedroom. During my stay, the temperatures were warm, and it made things uncomfortable at night. Opening the windows was not an option due to the presence of mosquitoes outside, which meant I struggled to find a comfortable sleeping temperature.
On the positive side, the apartment itself was spacious and generally clean. The amenities were adequate for my needs, and the staff was friendly and helpful, albeit a few blocks over. I appreciated the kitchenette, which allowed me to prepare some of my own meals during my stay.
In summary, while my stay at Aparthotel Oporto Sol had its merits, the lack of air conditioning and its location outside the main area impacted my overall experience. If you're sensitive to heat or prefer to be in the city center, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise, it serves as a decent accommodation for those seeking a quieter spot.
