ホテル ホーアー フレッシェン(Hotel Hoher Freschen)

We visited as part of a Leger coach tour. The owner and his son both went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely stay. The rooms were of a very high standard and the bathrooms were stunning. As we were part of a group, we didn't get chance to choose from the menu but from what we saw the food looked amazing and plentiful. Our food was good but we had no choice and there wasn't much on the plate. The New Year's Eve gala dinner was 6 courses and it was lovely. Really hope to visit here again.

Bike friendly hotel across from the train station with a few great restaurants - Gasthous Schaafli (sp) just a short walk away. Owner/Manager was very nice

Admittedly one must not expect much for the rates they are asking for. Yet I found the rooms in ill repair and a rather low standard breakfast, so that I would say that even these low rates are too high . While an evening beer on the porch is nice, i personally will abstain from dinner after my first experience with their cook's culinary prowess

Very nice hotel just in front of the station. Very quiet in the night and close to some restaurant and bars. We ate at the hotel restaurant and, beside food was good, I would suggest them improve the way they present the menu, which at the moment is written by hand on some sheets of paper

In realtà sarebbe tra le 3 e le 4*. La camera mi ha un pò deluso, è grande ma il bagno è ricavato sul balcone, di notte faceva molto caldo, ma non sono riuscito ad aprire la finestra e in realtà non è così nuova come sembra dalle foto (non era la suite, magari quella è come da foto). Il personale alla reception mi è sembrato disponibile e cordiale. La colazione discreta, effettivamente pochi dolci. Il ristorante non l'abbiamo provato, siamo usciti e andati in birreria ;-) Ha pagato il collega quindi non ho idea se il prezzo fosse giusto o no.

Ich habe drei Nächte im Hotel Zum Hohen Freschen in Rankweil verbracht und kann vieles von dem bestätigen, was in den „Informationen“, aber auch in einzelnen Bewertungen steht. Obwohl ich ein eher einfaches Zimmer hatte, vergebe ich vier Sterne, denn die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber verdient sie auf jeden Fall. Selbst private Anliegen wurden nicht vom Tisch gewischt, sondern Besitzer und Angestellte versuchten, individuelle Lösungen für mich zu finden. Die regional geprägte Abendküche war recht schmackhaft. Am Frühstücksbüffet bestand eine große Auswahl, wobei ausgerechnet das Süssgebäck gerne etwas abwechslungsreicher hätte sein können. Vor dem Hotel befindet sich eine Art Laube unter Platanen, wo es sich an den warmen Spätsommerabenden lange aushalten ließ. Hinüber zum Bahnhof Rankweil ist es ein Katzensprung, zur Basilika ca. 10-15 Minuten über den steileren Zackenweg. Es gibt aber auch noch einen angenehmeren. Da ich gerne erst nach 8 Uhr zum Frühstück ging, fand ich es etwas problematisch,dass die im Hotel anwesenden Reisegruppen das Büffet bereits zum Großteil geplündert hatten.

Nach einer längeren Pause waren wir wieder in Rankweil und haben im Hohen Freschen übernachtet. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet, die Aussicht auf die Basilika phänomenal. Das Bad ist luxuriös groß und modern
