Stayed here for a week in an ocean front, balcony room and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful grounds, beautiful resort and amazing staff. It’s not located in a town but it’s only 15min drive to Ponta Delgado. The breakfast buffet was included in our stay and it was delicious with a wide variety of eats. Would definitely recommend this resort. 👍👍

At this time of year, the hotel is not busy so we were upgraded to a junior suite and early checkin worked. The junior suites are spacious and well laid out, and the bathroom is the best I've seen in a hotel in decades: lots of counter space, two sinks, nothing arranged in a silly or inaccessible way. The breakfasts are great; make sure you get a rate that includes it. The dinner seemed expensive for what you got and we didn't try it. There are many good restaurants in the nighbouring towns. The grounds are great, and the beach is very close. The pools were too cold at this time of year. We were told that May is ideal: warm enough but still not too busy. The staff are very friendy and helpful.

We just spend 7 days at Pestana Bahia Praia Azores... Absolutely amazing situated ocean side Hotel. Of course, someone would to say it's too far away for other amenities, but there is always pros and cons... As we're nature lovers that was perfect for us. Hotel is lovely, quite even during the last week of Carnaval. Well pastel decorated - interiors especially bar & restaurant with colonial furnitures. We had also beautiful very comfy junior suite room. Very good food, buffet and especially with a la carte menu. Stunning quality and service. Hotel Staff were very friendly, every staff member were helpful, even manager persolnaly took care in call to Madeira sister Pestana hotel, as we planning there organise event in August. Amazing stay. The hotel is fabulous. The staff were all so kind and attentive. We had perfect weather in January! A couple of rainy days made the hot springs absolutely magical. And then we were able to soak up some sun on the beach. Would definitely stay again. There is no off-season. All year-round you can find great things to do and the knowledgeable and friendly staff at Pestana are so helpful.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We booked a sea view, junior suite King. The room was HUGE with a walk-closet and amazing view. We loved the room. Be sure to bring your own shampoo/conditioner/body products if you don't like all-in-one offerings. It was fine, but some folks are picky. Also, our bed was very hard but when we asked for some extra cusioning, they added a bed topper which was perfect. Breakfast buffet is small but has everything you need. Only advice: if you want an authentic espresso, go find a small cafe in any town. Lastly, unfortunately, it is secluded so you need your car to get to any shopping/dining/sightseeing. There is a beach cafe nearby which actually has very good lunch and dinner (casual) options within a 10 min walk. We very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you to the Bahia Staff!

1 week stay with my mother Had a suite Beautiful Very clean Very spacious Great facilities Unfortunately no indoor pool And the gym is comical 1 treadmill and 2 weights 2 meter square Smaller than a bathroom I don’t understand…. Everything else was fantastic

It was an amazing stay! We had a nice corner room 317, the view was breath taking. I would say it was the best one so far. The food in the restaurant was delicious and service by everyone in the hotel was impeccable. We will definitely be back next year!!

Check in was fast. The grounds are very well kept, clean and beautiful. Our room was perfect, we had room 317, corner room which was an ocean view and breath taking. We kept our balcony door open the whole night. The restaurant dinner was amazing, my husband had the octopus and I ate pork. It was not over cooked and the flavours were delicious!!
