チェスナット マウンテン リゾート(Chestnut Mountain Resort)

The service was great. The food in the restaurant was quite good for a ski lodge. The views from the restaurant & bar are beautiful & you can see all the way to the Mississippi River. This property has 4 floors but no elevator. The bathrooms are very small & outdated. It was hunting season & there were no less than 8 harvested, gutted deer on the back of their vehicles parked 50 feet from the front door. It would’ve been nice if the hotel forced them to park in a specific area, maybe at the back end of the lot, away from the front door as the parking lot is huge.

We enjoyed our stay but the room we were in was a bit dated. We had a few bugs to kill and it was a bit problematic when we had to take the luggage cart outside to get to our room because there was no elevator. The view was beautiful and we had a wonderful dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. We had wanted to go to Galena for the evening, but transportation was tricky because we could get a taxi downtown, but would not be guaranteed a ride back after 10pm. so we ended up having a nice time at the bar at the resort. Overall, we had a nice stay for a girls get away!

The hotel was clean but the hot tub was not functional, and the. carpets on the first floor by the indoor pool smelled mildewy most likely due to the moisture. Enjoy a drink at the bar or eat the restaurant with an amazing view of the ski lifts and the Mississippi River.

The lobby & restaurant are excellent as we as the crews operating the lifts, tour boat and all. The rooms are in need of an upgrade and are very dated in their appearance looking very 1980ish. The rooms could also use a guest directory of hotel features and a TV channel guide. Overall very good, but room for improvement in the rooms.

We got there They put us in a room w/no view just grass They changed it when we requested The TV & fridge didn’t work maintenance came right away We didn’t have a cooler he brought us one The beds are hard my friend couldn’t tolerate She slept on the couch Staff was nice They were in the process of putting on a roof that’s why TV wasn’t working at times The hot tub was getting remodeled but pool was nice was very easy to get around

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and very comfortable. They gave us an upgrade to a room with a wonderful view of the slopes and the river

Perfect for skiing with little kids. Pool, restaurant and easy access to ski slop! 👍

Family fun at a fair price. Propert is a bit dated reasonably clean nice staff

Check in was wonderful. Dining we were asked to pay our bill because she was concerned of us leaving? Do they treat all guest like this? We ordered appetizers and a Bloody Mary. Waitress Never asked if we’d like to order anything else. I passed the bill back to her and stated we weren’t finished. We had planned on dinner. She took the bill got us a second drink brought the second bill with the drinks. And made the comment that she was concerned we would leave without paying. We’re guest in the hotel!
