Federica
Pro: we have chosen this hotel to be close to Termini Station and to almost all touristic objectives in the 4 days /3 nights we stayed in Rome. The price for 3 days was decent given the fact that we stayed during Catholic Easter. The reception was open 24/07 and the receptionist was kind and polite. Cons: The first thing that we have observed was the small room we had (2nd floor), with a green carpet but extremely dirty. It was now cleaned weeks ago it seems. I have photographed everything because the cleaning was not ok here. At all. The marble floor was dirty in the bathroom as well when we arrived but also during our stay. Nobody cleaned the floor. The cleaning lady arranged our bed and we had clean sheets and towels. The hotel has no restaurant, even though they have the room for it and it was nicely arranged. No food was served at all. Only a machine for coffee, teas and salty things.
Just back from a city break in Florence and Rome. We took the train from Florence into Rome. The hotel is around the corner from the termini exit, so easy to find. The location is ideal for all sight seeing. Close to the railway station so the streets are understandably busy. We walked everywhere in Rome from the hotel. The walk to the Colosseum was so easy. Room is nicely decorated in Italian marble style, very high ceilings which is lovely. The only criticism I have is the flat pack cupboard and tv stand are not in keeping with the decor but I get the practicality of it. Superbly clean, lovely shower room with latest style large shower cubicle. Shampoo etc provided, great hairdryer too. Comfy bed. I’ve read comments about the aircon but being from UK it’s not something we are used to so all good on that front too. The whole hotel is superbly clean. The breakfast was good plenty choice. We loved the rooftop bar which is exclusively for guests, the bar tender Francesca, was wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed relaxing evenings in the bar after busy city touring. The service is rly nice! Had some issues with the checkin system at the beginning, but the lady who took care of my case was very friendly and professional. She truly is the gem. Also need to mention the breakfast buffet, the coffee was simply amazing (unfortunately couldn’t have it for the second day due to gut problem), and the staff there also very lovely. I would say well done to the team, y’all absolutely made my trip!
Stayed at Hotel Archimede for 5 nights mid May 23, booked in february but was worried after seeing reviews before we left. However we were pleasantly surprised, room was clean n spacious enough, bidet and sliding shower door, with both ordinary shower head and overhead rain shower head, rooms were cleaned everyday and reception staff couldn't do enough. Only had breakfast there once so can't really comment, buffet, continental, tiny cups for tea, otherwise ok. We were on 5th floor. Stayed in 4 stars elsewhere so I wouldn't say 4 star but probably ,4 star for Rome. 20 mins away from everything, good location.
