Boutique Hotel la Rocca

From the moment we arrived, we knew we could relax. We were made the feel welcome, our room was of modest size but had a wonderful view. The restaurant food was high quality and the service was excellent. The parking was very convenient. An ideal place to stay for a visit to the Tessin.

Myself and two friends spent three nights in this wonderful little gem of a hotel. We arrived in the rain with the free shuttle bus from Locarno but soon felt warm and comfortable. The room we shared was cosy and tastefully decorated in a classic kind of way. It had a large bathroom and plenty of cupboard space for the three of us as well as a few welcome goodies (bottles of water, amaretti cookies, apples and coffee facilities. (Being English, I would have liked a kettle and some tea but I had taken my own with me as hotels in continental Europe mostly don't have tea making equipment.) Each day we enjoyed the great selection of delicious breakfast items from the buffet (including special gluten free bread etc. for my friend). The croissants were particularly fresh and tasty. We took our time and could sit and enjoy the view for a while without feeling we were outstaying our welcome. Day three finally saw the sun in the sky and what a glorious view we had from our room, from the dining room and from the beautiful terrace for our final day! I think the crowning glory of our stay was the high class evening meal which we enjoyed on Sunday. We were accompanied by a live piano artist who played masses of hit songs all evening while we indulged in a gourmet treats and an outstanding red wine from the Tessin, which was recommended by our wine waitress. It was all excellent. All in all we were delighted. We were well looked after by the wonderful, attentive staff and thoroughly enjoyed our whole stay despite the less than perfect weather.

Basically everything was good, the sea view is beautiful, the room is very big and the breakfast was awesome. The parking lots are definitely too small for big cars side-by-side, because it's hard to not scratch another car, but that's just an opinion. The stay at the hotel was very good. There was no AC, so we had to choose between having moths, etc. fly into the room by opening the windows in the night and closing the windows, but it being too hot because of the humidity and hot weather. When we arrived there were many ants walking around on the floor, but the problem got fixed in just 10 minutes. In the hotel there is a sign for an indoor pool, but there was no indoor pool. The whole stay was awesome, but some information must be updated.

The hotel is very pretty. The location is amazing. The rooms are big, clean and the workers are very friendly. The dinner was amazing and the view just stunning. You see a little island from the restaurant that has a botanical garden that should also me amazing unfortunately we did not have to go look.

We stayed for one night for the first day of our honeymoon. We booked two hours before of our arrival but staffs of the hotel helped us to have an amazing stay. I really want to thank to all the staffs for all your support and a small gift. Wonderful river view, exceptionally clean room and bathroom, well decorated garden and delicious breakfast. I do not believe you can have any better hotel with this price in this area. If you visit lake maggiore, please try this amazing hotel. If you are visiting lake Como, it is also a good option to stay at this hotel as it takes only 1 hour to get to Como. 그냥 말이 필요 없음. 이 지역에서 이런 뷰에 이 정도 컨디션을 가진 호텔을 찾기는 하늘에 별따기라고 봄. 혹시 꼬모 호수나 마조레 호수 쪽에 방문한다면 무조건 방문해야함. 욕실에 물 때 자국 하나 없이 정말 깨끗이 청소된 곳.

I truly need to thank the Front Office team for their effort to make this short night an enjoyable moment. We arrived very late at night. Everything was explained by email and prepared in order to make our late check-in smooth. The view on the lake from the room is stunning ! Breakfast is small but the terrasse makes it a great moment to share. A huge plus and thanks to the team members who are extremely thoughtful and kind 🙏 We definitely think about coming back 🥰 Thank you

A wonderful weekend getaway. All of the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our two little kids loved the attention! The view was exceptional; we loved the terrace and restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Ist had been an tremendous stay in an undescripable surrounding at the Best of staff Service. Whenever we find the time we will return to that marvellous place to people who know what it needs to produce at least 1 smile a day on our Faches.

The hotel is set into the hill so you will get sun in the morning and not in the evening. Factor that into your plans should you want to use the hotel's small beach (parking next to it). The staff are friendly. Breakfast is nice. We decided not to eat during the evening there because they would not give us a table next to the view. The rooms are basic and quirky; the small terraces are exactly that and we had the awesome feature of a light that could not be turned off - hardly nice for an evening enjoying the lake view. Our neighbours were also very close so no privacy. It's worth it at least once for the view and the sunrise.
