Just perfect weekend. Staff was kind, food delicious and better plages then anywhere else in whole Istria

L'hôtel situé sur un ile, l'endroit très charmant, beaucoup de choses à faire sur ile ou dans le ville de Rovijn, on peut rester sur ile il y a de resto sur place, mais le soir la ville est magnifique! On a adoré les paysages, l'hôtel comme une oasis ! A recommander vivement!

The hotel commands a stunning position on St Andrews island, which is a short boat ride from Rovinj old town. The views are just beautiful. The public areas of the hotel are modern and spotlessly clean. Rooms are cleaned everyday and clean towels provided, if so desired. Rooms are adequate, bright and airy. However, the bathroom could do with updating albeit exceptionally clean. The breakfast choice was good but a little crowded at times. We had lunch in the Italian, the food was rather bland with not much flavour and not hot enough. The snack bar by the main pool served pizza’s/salads/burgers which were very good. There is ample room around the pool and there are sun beds on the pebbly/rocky beach. (You need sea shoes, as its very uncomfortable getting in and out of the sea). The pool area is spotless and the big pool was lovely to swim in. The majority of staff were friendly and helpful however there were a couple who were rather officious. What we loved the most was getting dressed up and getting on the boat to go over to the old town every night for dinner. The boat goes on the hour and on the half hour coming back. It is free for hotel guests. There is an abundance of restaurants to choose from in Rovinj - you are spoilt for choice some more expensive than others. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, purely for its location and beautiful views.

Looking at the brochure photographs of this idyllic island Hotel, you could be easily seduced. It is a bit rundown in places however, this can be ignored in favour of the beautiful setting and facilities offered. The staff is friendly and will offer a smile in return. The Pools are regularly maintained and there is an abundance of sun loungers all over the pool areas and pebble beaches. The level of cleanliness throughout the hotel lives up to its 4 star rating. The rooms are of a standard hotel layout and provide adequate storage for your clothes. The wardrobes do not have enough space to hang a full length dress and, as the dress code throughout the hotel is casual, you may wish to leave the 'Formal' clothes at home. We had a few issues with the room however , these were quickly resolved. The restaurant could be improved. The meals area sounds more like the works canteen with too many reflective surfaces to bounce the noise around. Table cloths would greatly improve the noise levels and ambience. There is a sort of music played over the many speakers which reaches all areas. Quite frankly, it becomes annoying after a time. The meals are buffet style and varied day to day and cater to all tastes however, I would suggest it is strongly aimed at Non British guests. The 'Canteen' opens at 6.30p.m. and, as there are no table allocations, there is always a mad rush to obtain the best tables. Generally the food is of a good standard and along with free wine and beer on tap, is acceptable. Overall I would recommend this hotel. There are sea views from all rooms to varying degrees. I would recommend going high and take a room facing the other island. Ask to see a layout of the hotel and choose your own room. The ferry to Rovinj is regular and the town is worth a visit. I would definitely go back to Croatia. A country worth a visit.

Just spent 1 week in this hotel. On arrival we were allocated our room,only for me to go to reception and ask for a change. Live wires on show from a broken socket.light not working in the bathroom and edging coming away from table. They quickly sorted out a new room for is.. Staff were brilliant.Very obliging. Hotel and grounds were spotless. Beautiful views over the sea. Now food. To be honest, not the best. Weird combinations.More or less the same every evening

Generally the Hotel was great. Good food, pleasant room and friendly staff. However this was not a pleasant experience on our final night. A group called “The Pirates” played excessively loud music which kept us and other guests awake until 2.15 am. At 1.30am I phoned reception to Ask them to stop it but was told “ The Pirates” said they would turn it off at 2am. The Hotel should not allow guests To dictate when loud music is turned off. Just be aware of this when booking.

We went with TUI. The coach dropped us off at the side of the dock. You give your name into a Reception desk then wait for the blue ferry to arrive at 30 mins past the hour. You past your cases to the crew at a back door on the ferry then make your way up the gang plank. It is free so ignore signs showing prices. At the other end, you go straight into the hotel and check in to Reception. In the meanwhile the hotel staff take the suitcases from the ferry and leave them in reception for you to take to your room. The rooms are so small but adequate. The bathroom is dated with a shower over a bath. The hairdryer is old but workable. The air-conditioning is good. The beds and large pillow are comfortable enough. The balcony is small but suffice for 2 people. There is a mini bar which is filled with items to pay for. There is no iron. There is tea and coffee sachets and then you pay for refills. There are toiletries in the bathroom, i persume that they replace them but took my own anyway. The sea view is spectacular. The Island is beautiful. Walking around both is approximately 5000 steps. The fresh air is amazing, it is a fusion of clean sea air meets pine trees. We did aqua aerobics in the sea water pool everyday, it was only cold as you got in. There was ample sun loungers with a few people reserving them. The sea is warm and safe to swim in. The animation team was more geared up towards the kids which was fine by us. There was not much in regards to entertainment apart from some singers in the outside bar. All the waiters in the bars and staff in the hotel are pleasant and helpful, we couldn't fault them. The food at breakfast and evening meal were buffets with plenty of choice and places to sit. I just wish that they had a smoking section. Being a non smoker, I wanted to enjoy my meal in the fresh air but then someone would decide to have a smoke after their meal, which they are entitled to do but it would have been good to have smoking/ non smoking areas. There is a mini bar in the room, we emptied it and put our own milk in it. Take your own tea, coffee & sugar for the room as they charge you to replace it. Also, they ran out of breakfast tea so it was good that we brought out own. Would I recommend it? Yes definitely.

We stayed here as a family of four (2 adults and two teenagers) and loved our stay. The island is beautiful and the ground are very well maintained. Lots of choice with water sports and we enjoyed a sunset dolphin tour also. We booked half board and the buffet at both breakfast and dinner offered a wide selection with various specials of an evening. It was very handy when you couldn’t be bothered to get the boat to Rovinj. We ate in a few of the restaurants for lunch and the food was good and decent sized portions. We also had a drink in one of the bars most nights - the drinks were expensive compared to Rovinj however the Captains Bar had great views especially (don’t forget mosquito spray!). The pools and beach areas were well maintained and there was never a shortage of sun loungers. There were various aqua fit classes and kids mini discos etc however these were not intrusive if you weren’t joining in. The staff were all lovely and helpful, especially reception and those on the buffet restaurant reception. The only criticism would be that the rooms, whilst clean and a decent size, and the bathrooms, could do with some modernisation. Glass instead of wall on the balconies would be great also, to enjoy the amazing sea views. I would def recommend this hotel, take a sea view room and Rovinj itself is stunning.

The hotel has some pros and cons, that said we enjoyed our holiday. Setting is lovely, good pool area and the free ferry over to Rovinj always on time… Rovinj is fabulous. We were pleased with the cleanliness of hotel, rooms and public areas we used. Buffet breakfast suited us and set us up for day esp as we love a more continental style breakfast . We actually took a couple of Dinner buffets too and were rather pleased with them. Plenty of choice and good variety of meat/fish/ veg/salads oh n lovely cakes and ice cream. Must comment on a lovely welcome from Natalija at buffet welcome area… Hvala! The buffet teams work hard but not all of them friendly, appreciate it is busy for them. Loved Captains Club, had a few nights of good Duo entertainers too! Beach Bar relaxing as well and all staff at these 2 were very friendly… Karlov stood out here! Finally best coffee made in Pool bar by Andrija (i think), always a smile! Hvala vam to you all! The room attendants always greeted us as we passed in the hallways too. Our room was on 3rd floor above the spa so the noise of jacuzzi bubbling up when door open was not so peaceful and no real view, just a few trees but mostly other rooms opposite. So balcony not really used. The aircon is pre set by hotel and not good at all! Lowest it would go is 25 to 26 degrees… not ideal during a rather hot spell. Made sleeping tough on a menopausal woman!! The cost of drinks are more expensive than mainland but not by a huge amount. A few updates on rooms and bathrooms(hairdryer not good and I have short hair!!!) would be welcome. Thanks for a nice break.
