Pros
The AC Hotel is absolutely beautiful! It has a modern decor and a sophisticated atmosphere. You get the wow factor the second the elevators open and you see the stunning lobby. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Getting to your room is a bit tricky and so one of the front desk personnel actually showed me to the elevators so that I wouldn't get lost. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed. The use the same electrical outlets as in the US and they had plenty of them throughout the room to charge multiple devices. They even had the USB ports in the walls. There's a coffee maker, iron and ironing board and refillable shampoo, body wash and conditioner bottles attached to the shower wall. I really liked this because I didn't have to use my own. And they are eco-friendly as I do not like using harsh chemicals on my skin.
Cons
They didn't acknowledge my birthday. I don't typically expect hotels to do this, but it certainly is thoughtful when they do. It shows you that they are paying attention to details. Now, I believe my front desk assistant was newer and so I won't hold this against the hotel, but it may be worth instituting something within your system that will tell the front desk staff to acknowledge a guest's birthday. Just a suggestion. I've always appreciated when other hotels acknowledge this.
Also, breakfast isn't included. The buffet is $22 but you do have an a la carte option which can be half the cost, depending on what you order.
