The place is old but very confortable. Sea view room comes with a balcony (if requested). There are limited restaurant facilities and the breakfast is a par below what it should be, in my opinion, but otherwise, overall, very nice place.

Beautiful location in beautiful town, spectacular view, steps from the beach. The town is also charming, lots of things to do, all within walking distance. There is a castle nearby and the mountains nearby are not to miss.

The hotel is economical. Breakfast is very poor. ITAKA guests are subject to worse conditions than Italian citizens, as the restaurant's time restrictions are exceptionally worse. This is a humiliation. The hotel has a many of seniors and people with disabilities. English is not widely spoken, including by the animators.

We had a wonderful time. We were greeted with refreshments, the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent, clean and spacious with lots of storage space and we had a balcony with a view of the sea. The meals were excellent, and compliments to the chef and his team, we looked forward to all the meals, with an excellent selection at breakfast, wonderful selections of traditional Calabrian food at both lunch and dinner. The waiters were very friendly and greeted you on each visit. We strongly recommend the Santa Caterina Village Hotel to anyone wanting an authentic Italian Experience for their holiday. We felt spoilt and relaxed loved our stay.

The second part of hotel called : “ Village” was disaster: Elevator didnt work 4 days from our 8 days vacation , air-condition worked only 6 hour daily and the temperature was about 40 degrees outside. They selected the peoples so in main building was everything ( the room air condition 24hours and restaurant was also with air condition) Animation is only for Italian children, so we didnt understant anything and they didnt care about tourist. Toilet was broken. The boat brought peoples to the beach from trip and they flushed the contents of the toilet into the sea among the swimming children. I dont recomend this hotel. It was disappoin**ent.

Me and my sister are impressed. The staff in the restaurant is so kind, menager Luca and his waiters are always well organised and say Hi with a smile. The food is so good and hotel is clean. We recommend! 🥰

Perfect place for family with children. A lot of animations and very creative staff made our stay in hotel attractive for our children. Especially in age 6+. Very delicious breakfest, lunch and supper. We recomend part of hotel closer to the beach.

St.Katarina Resort is wery well placed hotel, close to te beach. Kalabria region assures good and sunny weather (july 2022). Close to the hotel is old part of the Scalea town-very nice place to visit, with old fashoned streets and buldings.
