Recently stayed at the Hyatt in Scottsdale for a conference in November 2024. It sounds like they just recently finished some major renovations to the hotel. The small convenience store was still closed for renovations and there were no vending machines, and there was one fire alarm test in the afternoon which didn't last long. The rooms were big and clean, and the property was very nice and upscale. The beds were a little firm and pillows very soft but slept well. They had a large TV screen with the ability to cast onto which made it nice to stream shows. The pool for adults and kids looked huge with many other activities for the kids. I was not able to check out the spa or tennis courts. There is a bridge to the golf course right behind the hotel if you plan on playing golf. There are two sections of rooms on either end of the property. My room was right at the beginning of the hallway so I could hear the lobby pretty well with the music but it did stop at 10:00pm. I did not eat at any of the restaurants onsite. The location was close to a small shopping complex with a few restaurants and grocery store. If you want to hike you will need to either have a car or take an taxi to the location. All staff were very friendly and professional.
Last night, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at LUNA, the lobby restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the hostesses made us feel welcome, sharing the rich history of Luna as they guided us to our table—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. Our server, Amanda, was exceptional, recommending one of the finest bottles of red wine I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely delicious, and we loved the family-style servings that made the meal even more enjoyable. A special highlight was when GM Paul personally stopped by to check in on us and make sure everything was perfect. It was my brother’s birthday, and they went above and beyond, surprising us with a couple of desserts, including one with a candle. Great vibes, fantastic food, superb wine, and top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making the evening so memorable!
Great stay in a very nice and safe area in Scottsdale! Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Old town Scottsdale is full of unique art and galleries. We walked the entire area at night with no safety concerns. Would definetly stay at this hotel again.
Alan, the bartender was fantastic! Quick and easy with the drinks. Had a great night sitting out aide on the patio at the hotel. Couldn't have been more pleasant. Nice quiet night. Staying here for 3 weeks and will be down again to hangout and grab a drink.
Before arriving, I called the front desk when I noticed there was a slight error on the dates. Since I was there for a conference, the clerk gave me the name and number of the person with my organization who was coordinating the trip. I contacted the person using the info he gave me, and received no reply. Upon further investigation, this person was not affiliated in any way with my organization. No problem. Mistakes happen! I got it sorted out by bypassing Fairmont. When I arrived, I was given a dirty/used room in the G building. I called the front desk to request a ride back, since I had my luggage and it's not a short walk. That ride was never sent. So I walked back and retrieved a key to a clean room. The front desk credited $100 to my room account for the inconvenience and hassle. When I got to the new room, the key didn't work..... The hot water did not work in my shower, but I didn't want to change rooms again. (This is my fault, of course, but do you blame me?) I have a picture and video of the water pressure if anyone is interested. When I checked out, there was no $100 credit on my statement (of course). I receive much better treatment at a Hilton. Not sure how they maintain a five star rating.
SSpinningvortexThe hotel was new and was clean; rooms were spacious and breakfast was above expectations- the only downside is that there’s nothing much nearby and the they did not provide any toothbrush or toothpaste kits. The room also had a bit of leftover wrappers on the floor from previous guest. Not bad overall though.
996163Once you finally can find the building, the ‘condo’ is modern & clean with outstanding amenities (although for a $20/day fee) Good: Condo is well supplied for short visits: - TV with Netflix etc & sound system. - Washer & Dryer. - Rooftop lounge and sitting area, nice gym - Beautiful swimming area with bbq's. - Clean modern condo with big patio Not so Good; - no patio chairs - no pool towels - not sound proof - smell of **** in hallways and comes in through your windows. - parking costs $25/night - get ready to walk miles to find your unit. Massive building with / elevator areas and a fire escape that we used to go to rooftop and pool floors. Bad: - Impossible to find. Apple Maps takes you elsewhere (other side of Mercedes dealership but condo on next road). Google gets your there to the back but you have no idea where you are. The problem is the building is in a horseshoe and the back faces the main road w/o any signage or addresses. Brutal! If you arrive after hours - you would be out of luck. - Pool area is beautiful but has glass doors that you can easily walk through. A kid running would break their neck. -Only 2 elevators and one fire escape that we used to access rooftop (5th) and pool and social/games area (2nd) -This is not Old Town Scottsdale. be prepared to walk 15 minutes.
