Definitely staying here again when i am next in Darwin. Superb location! Less than ten min walk to the main street. But not so close that traffic is annoying. Staff were super lovely! My apartment had two bedrooms, laundry facilities and kitchen. It was a home away from home. And a balcony to enjoy the morning coffee. (they provide milk, tea and coffee). Beds were really comfortable, shower pressure was great. The supermarket is in walking distance as well, it was so awesome to be able to cook my own food. Everything was clean and for those afraid of flying cockroaches, i found NONE :D I loved the commitment to sustainability, and the signs by the elevators with information about the traditional landowners. Very informative. As was the Mr Butler app that listed events and nearby restaurants. Based on shared values, location and comfort - i will be back! Oh and the pool was LOVELY! Great space up there to hold a bbq too. Just two things i thought could be improved (not criticism!) - lock on the bathroom toilets by the pool, one of the sunbeds was getting a bit wearisome. Apart from two minor things, i loved staying there <3
If you are looking for an average self-catering option in Palmerston, then the Quest will do. It is located within walking distance to a shopping center for supplies. There are a number of restaurant options close by including one on site should you wish to eat out. The facilities are clean and functional. However, be sure to book a room with a fridge that has a deep freeze compartment if you are looking to use frozen meals. My room only had a bar fridge which mean I had to choose fresh food options for my stay. The gym has a few items in it, but is quite lack luster. I went up the road to a local gym that had the right equipment. I must admit, although there was free wifi, it was not secured at all and I did not trust it. I used my mobile hotspot during my stay. Some may feel this is not a big deal, but it did bug me. Staff were reasonably friendly and the secure onsite parking cost $10 a day. There is street parking if you want to risk it.
Starting from check in, Laura couldn’t have been more helpful. She gave us a list of sites to choose from as we are parking up for a while, Laura provided great information about which sites would suit us best in terms of shade. The resort is well maintained, clean facilities and friendly staff! Sarah
Used Darwin Resort as our port of call while holidaying in Darwin, before road-tripping back to Alice. Found the resort to be almost ideal. It's not in Darwin City itself, which would be a problem if you don't have a car, but for those with cars, Darwin and Casurina is only about 10 - 15 minutes away, while it's also ideally situated for getting away from the city and out to Litchfield for the day. It also has quite a nice pool, and unlike many, actually has shade for it. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the restaurant is shut, but since we were on a budget holiday, that wasn't such an issue either. There were a number of takeways within a 5 minute drive, and we ended up eating at Casurina or Stokes Hill Warf anyway. Staff were professional and friendly, rooms were... well, hotel rooms. Airconditioned, clean, no noise - what more can you really say? Thoroughly recommend for families with cars.
