Bally's overall was good but not having access to a microwave was not good at all. I was totally shocked that the commodes were lower than other major hotels that we had to call for a chair riser. Never have I ever had to do that. It was an experience I will never forget!
We had asked the front desk for some bottles of water to take to our room and the gentleman said he would bring some bottles to our room but no one ever came and as seniors, we had to take our medicine, plus we drink water around the clock do we don't get dehydrated. We go to dinner at the Sugar Factory restaurant but no seats available which is understandable for a Saturday evening, so we opted for the bar instead. I asked for a strawberry margarita or daiquiri and the bartender said their blender wasn't working! You mean to tell me all that money the hotel/restaurant bring in, the hotel couldn't go to Family Dollar or another store to purchase a blender! Too much.....Not good at all. There is always room for improvements. I came to Bally's for my birthday surprise but got surprised in more ways than one. For breakfast, we got talked into going to Countrie Eatery down the street. The BEST hide-a-way restaurant with the BEST food and people and GREAT affordable prices for all. Missing Dover Downs more. Good luck.
