The hotel was very clean. Love the elevator level selection pad. The staff was extremely friendly. It’s easy to retrieve your vehicle from valet even when you’re going to return. Although, I suggest Waymo. Those things are everywhere and the hotel’s location is central to everything to do with the arts. The High Museum, The Fox Theatre, and The Shakespeare Tavern Theatre are must sees while you are there. And don’t forget to get breakfast at the hotel. It’s delicious! Ask for Tyler 😊, she’s amazing.

We have stayed at the Avalon hotel many times. The common areas are still beautiful and clean and well kept. I think the rooms are starting to suffer a little. Not as clean and as new looking as normal.

The reception team was amazing—special thanks to Nessa and her colleagues, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They also kindly arranged an early check-in, which I really appreciated. The hotel is conveniently located, with a subway station nearby, and it's quite central. But at night homeless people sleep in the area, so I tried not to walk at night. I stayed for four nights, but housekeeping never cleaned my room. I also want to clarify that I did not have the ”Do Not Disturb” sign on my door at any point. They do not provide slippers.

For the price paid, I was expecting a bit more. The design was quirky and fun. No problem there. However, the elevator was broken and the staff and guests were mixed in the elevators. It took much longer than it should have to go up to the room and back down to the lobby. If I would have known that there was a club open until 3am, I would have chosen a lower floor. It was hard to sleep at night. If you are into clubbing and want a place to go straight to your room at 3am, this is it. If you are there on business and need to wake up at 7:00am for work, it might not be the best choice.
