We chose to stay here due to its location to the Chamonix town centre. After a long drive from Avignon, we arrived late afternoon. Unfortunately all hotel parking was full, however a public car park was a short 2-3 minute walk away & reasonably priced for 24 hour parking. Check in was quick and easy, hotel staff were very friendly. We had a room on the top floor (8th access via stairs from the 7th floor) with an amazing view of the mountains. Our room had everything we needed for the three nights we stayed. The daily breakfast was delicious. The staff were very accommodating if we needed anything. Location is key in an area like this and it couldn’t have been better. Easy 2 minute walk into the centre of town. We didn’t ski while we were here, but did do some amazing hikes in the area. The day after one hike we booked in for an hour massage and used the spa/sauna facilities. The massage was very relaxing and again the staff were great. Unfortunately Chamonix was experiencing unusually high winds during our stay and all major tourist attractions were closed. The tourism office was a great help giving ideas on what else to do, seeing everything was closed. This was unfortunate, but the area is so beautiful. We will definitely be back.
This place is amazing! I can’t fault it. All the staff are so very friend and happy to help answer questions. Very knowledgeable about ski hire and slopes. We had a room next to the road, the view was beautiful overlooking the mountains. I’ve never stayed in a room that quiet, you can’t hear the road at all! The rooms are so so quiet. There’s a separate toilet to the bathroom, there’s an inside door, meaning your room is soundproofed from the hallway. The bed is extremely comfortable as are the pillows. The decor is fun and bright. We loved that we didn’t need to use our adapter, we could charge phones and watches at the same time though the multiple usb slots. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. The shower is really nice and there’s a Bath. The room itself is very big. Blackout curtains meaning we had lots of sleep. Downstairs there’s lots of comfy sofas and chairs, two retro arcade machines (free) and a pool/snooker table, I’ll never know the difference! We wanted to save some money and not eat the hotel breakfast each day. We ‘just had a look’ the first day and ended up having a hotel breakfast each morning. The range of food is exceptional, there’s just so much to choose from. Everything is so well thought out. I even noticed that there’s a ramp up to the hotel at the front, one side has a soft covering so you can wheel your suitcase, the other half is grippy metal for the snow and ice. We only had chance to use the pool and hot tub twice. The pool was a little cool to get into but pools aren’t supposed to be hot or it’s uncomfortable to swim around. Tip, there’s a really great short cut when walking to the train station. It’s near the main road and takes about 6 minutes to walk. Don’t follow Google maps like we did! The buses come straight to the hotel or just up the road, they go to chamonix and lots of ski areas. The trains are free and are very convenient.
This is a small boutique hotel that offers spectacular views of the alps. The service is impeccable. Many thanks to the whole staff for their many kindnesses. Marieke the concierge is the best: no request goes unanswered. The balcony rooms offer unparalleled views of the Alps and are quite spacious.. The bar staff are great. Many thanks Rasheen for your excellent and genial service. BUT: There is a road just behind the hotel with very busy traffic. We live in a city but we still found it disturbing. You must leave the balcony doors open in the summer; otherwise, you'd be sweltering, and you will hear traffic all night. On our last night, a Saturday, a dozen or so young people sat on a wall between the hotel and street drinking and carousing until 3am. Barking dogs. We hardly slept the whole time we were there. The worst is that the place is overrun with babies and children under 5. This is a small 5 star boutique hotel . it should be billed as a family venue. We tried to spend time in the lovely garden area, the only public space in the summer, and were constantly beset by crying babies and children running around. If you are looking for a relaxing venue in nature, this, alas, is not it. Breakfast offers no table service and the buffet is often quite crowded and out of things. The food is subpar. Any decent 5 star hotel has a good club sandwich but not this one. The croque monsieur was meh.The terrine barely edible: a freezing cold mass of fat. Ugh. Poor wine menu. It could be a great place, and was when we were there 15 years ago, but now, not. If you have babies and small children, you'll be welcome.
We stayed here for our skiing holiday. It’s a great location at the bottom of the savoy slope. We hired our skis from the Folie Douche just opposite (to the side of the slope) so kept our skis there as was easiest to set off from there each day rather than carry them over the lawns plus we like the folie douche pizzas and bar. So we didn’t use the boot rooms at the balcons at all. Nearby bus stops are mummery (to go to Flegere or Les houches) or mont Blanc stop in centre of the town for grand montets/le tour. Either were 5 minute walk from folie douche. The rooms are nice, has everything u need. I was worried the beds weren’t comfy after reading some reviews but requested extra duvets to place ontop the mattress (as my big 15yr old twin boys were on the sofa beds) and they were fine. I would of preferred a 2 bedroom but none were available when I booked. However the 1 bed was fine just had to have my sons and their mess in the lounge haha. There is a lovely view from the balconies, a great little games room which my boys enjoyed. The pool and Hannan were nice and my husband had a lovely hot stone massage. We’ve previously stated elsewhere in the centre of town but this location suited us perfectly. Was just a short (8 mins) walk in the morning to the supermarket for baguettes etc. they do sell some drinks on reception too if you’re caught short. They also do a breakfast although we didn’t try it. Heated towel rail in bathroom was great for drying our gear. The tv has the sound restricted so we bought dvds but tbh I couldn’t really hear to watch it so watched my iPad instead. The saucepans were a little funny (not like uk non stick) but we got by. I bought my own bacon frozen as found French bacon weird last year. Kitchen has a dishwasher which is great. The staff at the hotel concierge were all lovely and helpful, never rude, and answered emails or requests quickly both prior to coming and whilst here. You don’t always get that in my experience elsewhere. All in all a great place to stay in Chamonix and I would return.
Nice hotel with good service. Super central. We came to escape the heat wave with family, but with no air conditioning, it was still pretty warm… I booked on the telephone (in French) and reserved for adults and children, specifically because the hotel has a pool. I asked about the pool and Spa hours too. WARNING: they did NOT tell me on the phone that children are not allowed in the pool and spa - (only 1030-1230) - but since checkout is at 11, that means basically not at all if you only stay one night. I understand the rules, and the reason why they don’t want a noisy spa, but they should have made this VERY clear up front. So recommend this hotel for adults only. Families with children should stay somewhere else.

素晴らしい
This is a GEM and so is Chamonix!!! Chamonix is in a narrow glacial valley directly below Mont Blanc (and you can easily see Mont Blanc and many of the alpine peaks easily and completely visible from the town). On the mountainside opposite Mont Blanc is the Auberge. Originally, we wanted to stay in town near the lift to Aiguille du Midi. Glad we did not. Chamonix is a busy tourist town, and the lift is also busy. Auberge du Bois Prin likely has the BEST VIEW in all of Chamonix of the Mont Blanc Range and peak. All its rooms face the mountain peaks. It has a dozen rooms. It looks like an alpine chalet, flower boxes and all – beautiful. Inside is clean, modern and mountain rustic. The room was very, very spacious as was the bathroom. Rustic, expensive looking. Beds are very comfortable. Windows looked out to the alps. From my bed I would go to sleep looking directly at Mont Blanc. We also had a balcony looking toward the alps. What more could you want!!! There was one problem, however, there is no air conditioning. Because the windows do not have screens, we had a choice between mosquitoes (yes, there are alpine mosquitoes) or overheating. The hotel was quick to provide a fan which helped greatly. Was surprised that in the morning when I stepped onto the balcony it was cold despite the overheated room. There is an elevator in the hotel to assist with luggage. Breakfast was served on an outdoor deck and in a nice indoor space. Everything was fresh and great but how can you go wrong with continuing a view of the alps and Mont Blanc. The hotel staff and serving staff in the restaurant were more than outstanding. The restaurant is a Michelin star rated restaurant for dinner. The town buzzes with tourists, a variety of restaurants, bakeries and ice cream stands and so much more. Parking is just enough for those staying at the hotel (and it is free). One can walk into town by way of steep streets. A mile or less. One more thing; the photos of the hotel placed by management DO LOOK EXACTLY LIKE what you get - unreal beautiful!
Hotel Aiguille du Midi is located below the Bossons glacier to the right of the Aiguille du Midi and the left of Mont Blanc and offers a stunning view of both. The hotel has been in the same family for five generations and continues to be run by family members, and has been continuously expanded and modernized over the past 120 years. My room was a superior room for a single or a couple with Mountain Views and although small was comfortable and included a small en-suite shower bathroom. The hotel has a small spa area with a jacuzzi and sauna available at no extra charge with pre booking. Two game rooms are available as well as a ski storage room and boot dryers. Half board is well worth taking as the breakfast buffet is extensive and the excellent dinner includes an appetizer (generally a soup or some traditional item) and a single main course (I enjoyed roast lamb, fish, veal escalope) followed by a cheese course, and then a large assortment of desserts. Dinner can be preceded or followed by cocktails etc in the bar room. Although the hotel is outside of Chamonix the town can be readily accessed by the #1 bus every 30 minutes and it also takes you to the Flagere ski area. Alternatively the train from Chamonix stops at Bosson station providing a useful option for transportation every hour. If you are planning to ski the Valle Blanche you would take the bus in to Chamonix Aiguille du Midi, have a great ski day and then take the train back to Bosson as the Montenvers train station is next to the Chamonix station. So if you want a quiet location outside of Chamonix center with high quality service and comfort, do give Hotel Aiguille du Midi consideration.
Booked three rooms for our travelling family. Stayed 2 nights in September which was probably enough for that time of year. Front desk staff were lovely. Breakfast staff not so much. Ran out of eggs at 7.45am, one of only two warm dishes. Breakfast started at 7.30am and got short shift when enquiring if there were any available. The hotel is 15 min out from Chamonix so you need a car as there is not much nearby (though we knew that). Had a lovely German dinner 10 min walk up the road at a Bighorn Bistro.
ゲゲストHotel super pertinho do centro de chamonix, estacionamento gratuito, lindíssimas vistas das montanhas, atendimento super gentil, hotel muito charmoso, elegante e aconchegante!!!!
We booked hotel Gourmets for a family ski trip. Reviews and photos where good. Unfortunately what we experienced was different. The rooms where very small and the bathrooms even smaller. We stayed in room 205 and the bathroom was uncomfortably small. While we where there, there was a really bad smell in the room, which we reported. It never got sorted during our stay. It was blamed on a heating fuel leak. A member of our party was also gluten free. We had asked prior to arriving if the breakfast would have GF options. We where assures there would be. On arriving we where met with blank faces and told they weren’t available in local supermarkets, which we found incorrect when we bought our own. Finally you have to pay extra for the sauna and steam room when you get there. Which wasn’t clear when we booked. We wouldn’t recommend or return to this hotel.
ゲゲストArrived after midnight after a trip from hell and such a fab welcome from Alex. Room ideal as a single traveler - looking up to the mountains and with the glacial river flowing past. Amazing! Fantastic location, just yards from a beautiful town centre. Clean, warm and everything needed for a great stay
