What a fantastic property this is! Bravo to the manager and staff at this location. Hotel is immaculate. When you first arrive, the positive vibe is very apparent. Staff seems genuinely excited to be in the hospitality industry and it shows. Seriously, the desk clerk assisted me in using my online points for my stay and could not have been more friendly and attentive. Meanwhile, her coworker addressed a repeat guest by his first name when he arrived and he was blown away that she remembered him. At check in I was offered a fresh cookie and bottled waters...outstanding customer service. Upon entering the hotel, you immediately notice the difference. I frequent this level of hotel, but have never encountered such quality and attention to detail. (Frankly, I paid way more for higher end properties without nearly this level of cleanliness and care.). Every corridor, elevator, and stairway is spotless. Every employee has a welcoming smile. Witnessed staff not just spraying windows, but cleaning every crevice around the frame. What impressed me most was the breakfast crew. There were many, many guests enjoying free breakfast, but you'd never know by how stocked and clean the food area was. Super yummy egg white frittata, smoked sausage, hash browns, fresh fruit...never had a free breakfast that yummy at a Hampton Inn. Meanwhile, two lovely ladies make sure every counter is wiped, crumb is brushed off, and jelly packet is perfectly organized. All the while these ladies greeted guests warmly, asked sweet questions about their travels, and just spread sunshine overall. Where was I? This felt like some fancy bed and breakfast disguised as a Hampton Inn!
Stopped on our travels North from Florida. We had an excellent stay. Wonderful staff. We had an issue with a chair in our room which was promptly addressed. Everyone very pleasant, clean rooms and a convenient breakfast on our way out the next day. Would recommend you stop here during your travels.
RRichard RI paid $85 total including tax for this room. I was satisfied with my stay. Good price, decent value, comfortable stay, and there are many convenient stores and restaurants adjacent and nearby. The king bed room was small and had no closet. The floors did not have rugs but had a modern wood type flooring- not a problem. There is no in-room coffee. The room was attractive. Outside, the motel looks dated, especially considering the huge parking lot that is mostly unused. The property has no direct street frontage. There is a small sign and then you drive down a couple driveways to get to the motel. GPS helped me get there initially, but otherwise this entrance is easy to miss. I missed it one time myself. The lobby is attractive and breakfast is average- no hot breakfast. I was disappointed there was no decaf coffee anywhere in the motel. Overall- cheap, no frills, adequate, no big problems.
If I could give this no stars I would. The only saving grace was the girl on duty at check in. The place is dirty, inside and out. The bed linens were nasty. The tub looked like it had never been clean. The minifridge had been unplugged and the ice in freezer melted and the water was left to mold. I wouldn't have eaten breakfast if you paid me to. The guy in charge of training the cleaning staff was berating a young girl for making a mistake so loudly and offensively that, under different circumstances I would have intervened, but quite honestly I didn't because I feared for my safety.
