JH ヴィラ(JH Villa)

It's had to describe just how beautiful JH villa is but ill give it my best. Myself and my husband were lucky enough to spend time here as a second honeymoon and although the villa can sleep a lot more than just 2 people we never felt like it was too big, its got the warmth and cosiness of a intimate accommodation but the grand uber luxury feeling of something really special. The Pool area is by far the icing on the cake an amazing space to entertain or just have a day to chill. Monkeys frequent the gardens and you wake up to the sound of peacocks. Its high tech too, each room with its own iPad controlling the music, lighting etc there is a button for everything! Tucked away behind private gate it feels like you're in a world of your own, truly peaceful and luxurious every detail has been carefully curated. It is close to its own private beach too! The heart of this stunning villa is the team who run it. Sammy the chef's cooking is just exceptional, (ask for his crab curry you won't be disappointed!) Malan's smile in the morning, afternoon and evening makes you feel at home and there is nothing the team here won't do to make sure your stay is the best. We even had a wonderful 6 day trip around Sri Lanka organised for us. Would i go again? in a heartbeat!

Gorgeous villa. Very clean. Friendly staff with a very good cook. Eco friendly. Beautiful space. Our family had a wonderful holidays. Lots of great facilities including wonderful pool, gym, sauna, billiards,badminton and more. The team looking after you are all very responsive and friendly.

Well what can I say if your looking for getaway this villa is perfect, its absolutely stunning , we enjoyed every minute staying in paradise. We loved the peaceful surroundings with nature sounds , listened to birds and watched monkeys. The staff are the best , nothing is problem to them , everything we tried from the menu was cooked and served to perfection, we can't wait to go back !!! Don't hesitate try it our you won't be disappointed!!!

This place is absolutely amazing!! I am fortunate to have travelled to many countries and stayed in some beautiful hotels - this place is up there with the very best. Everything about our stay was perfect - the setting, the staff, the attention to absolutely every detail. As you walk into the main reception area you can sense the history of the place and our room and dining area was beautiful. The Pool is a delight and the gym and sauna underneath fabulous. Often we didn't want to leave so beautiful was JH but when we did the wonderful city of Galle is only a short drive up the road as is Unawatuna beach.

From the moment we arrived to the very sad moment we left we were treated like royalty. The place is the height of luxury as well as comfort. Perfect to be used as a base for excursions or to just to relax and soak up Sri Lankan hospitality. We visited a local turtle sanctuary and were actually invited to release turtles back into ocean. We also visited a nearby lake which we got to explore by boat and even got to hand feed monkeys. We were dropped off at Cinnamon Island where we were shown the traditional process from tree to tea. There is so much to see and do in Sri Lanka and JH Villa is just the perfect place to call home while there to enjoy a beer in the phenomenal pool/jacuzzi or sit and relax with a cocktail next to the tranquil lily pad filled pond. The fully equipped gym and sauna area looked great but we settled for a game of pool instead! The service at JH Villa was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Our stay was seamless, we didn't need to worry about anything. All excursions, drivers (Isuru is a diamond), food, local knowledge is 5 star. In fact the only down side was having to say goodbye but we will definitely be back!

JH is without doubt the finest hotel we have ever stayed in. We wanted somewhere special for our honeymoon and JH surpassed all our expectations! We'd had a week travelling around Sri Lanka before we arrived at JH and stayed in some lovely places during that week but JH topped the lot. From the moment we arrived we felt like millionaires! The villa itself is simply spectacular. Sat within its own private grounds no picture could ever do it justice. Our room itself was beautiful and I can only imagine the amount of time and love that has gone into making JH the place it is. Sri Lankan people are so so friendly and the staff at JH are so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us a far better insight of things to do and places to visit in the area than any guide book or standard tourist guide ever could. You name it we did it - we saw dolphins and whales on a private boat trip, we visited the local turtle sanctuary down the road, went on an elephant safari, had cookery classes and went on the most wonderful train journey. A word about Sri Lanka itself - such a beautiful country with so much to do and see but best of all the loveliest people. As this is a review about JH it would be wrong for me not to leave the last words for them........we have already booked our return stay and there can be no bigger compliment than that!

My stay at JH Villa was absolutely fantastic. The whole property was kept and maintained to an impeccable standard The staff were incredible and nothing was too much to ask Pool area and surrounding gardens are just amazing and the beach that is only a 2 minute walk away is beautiful golden sand. Will definitely go back

Luxury property with simply everything you could possibly need. The best bit though, is the staff. Sumí, you’re my favorite chef ( had to give you a special mention! ❤️) Pool & grounds are beautiful. Love & miss all of you.

Amazing holiday - with so much to love and enjoy for all of us, which is not an easy brief to meet when you have four kids between you aged 20-14 and different genders. Everyone had an amazing trip and JH Villa surpassed our expectations - the facilities are fabulous. Gym, pool, pool table, table tennis, pizza oven - monkeys in the trees providing entertainment to the monkeys we travelled with.... The sound system, wow! - one for every room! - and either end of the spectacular pool too which gave our teenagers an opportunity to party whilst sipping cocktails on the loungers. What is not to like! The location is brilliant too - just a short tuc tuc to the gorgeous walled Galle town; and palm tree lined beaches which provide a natural habitat to seven species of turtle who hatch eggs there; and the dolphins; and the whales; and the birds....wow so much to enjoy there's not enough time or space to write it all. We all desperately want to go back - if nothing else for the amazing Siralese team who work at JH who were there to support our every need and more; and you cant beat the cooking, utterly delic thanks to vast amounts of fresh produce the country boast growing. It was a 5 star experience - unforgettable and etched in our memories forever; which is all you can ever ask for when travelling with a blended family with diverse interests and ages! Loved it - we'll be back!
