Really good reasonably priced food. Special mention for Angel who was on her own in the kitchen and Libby who was serving behind the bar and waiting on tables on her own. Nonetheless she was very friendly and cheerful and there was no delay in being served. Would definitely eat here again.

Booked for one night, having travelled down from Yorkshire for a business meeting in Taunton the next morning. Room was a good size, nice decor, lovely and clean, with a comfortable king sized bed and sea view. Had a delicious dinner and glass of wine in the restaurant and it was reasonably priced. However, I deducted one star, as I had expected to have had breakfast, but was disappointed to be told that breakfast wasn’t served until 8:30am, and I had to leave for my meeting at 7:45. So I had to make do with a cup of coffee in my room and leave for work hungry. I stay in hotels regularly for work, and have never known breakfast to start as late as 8:30 - most people have set off for work by then! So, lovely as this hotel is, I won’t be coming back.

We dropped in for an unplanned lunch. Greeted very warmly. The menu was excellent and kids menu much more interesting than average. Service was very friendly and quick although busy. Clean! Warm! Excellent food! Thanks John and Nikki great.

We stayed overnight here before a wedding locally next day. The welcome was friendly, our room was clean, comfortable bed and had tea & coffee facilities. Evening meal was very good, I had beef madras & husband had fish & chips. Both meals great. We were greeted in the morning by a very cheerful friendly host & the cooked breakfast was perfect. Lovely views of St Audries Park opposite. All in all a great stay, and we would definitely stay here again.

Made to feel extremely welcome from the moment we walked through the door! John was extremely lovely to talk to but infairness all the staff we 100% all round :) Carvery was fantastic, compliments to Chef on Breakfast. Our Room which was the Quadruple deluxe was absolutely amazing nicely refurnished with beautiful views from the patio, loved hearing the church bells but once windows and patio was shut you couldn't hear a peep.. I could go on and on about the windmill inn and it would all be positive... Literally looking to book again but for atleast 2days,time went to fast and we were sad to leave.. Thankyou again you deserve all the praise you get..A REAL GEM.. Will be back again and again thats a guarantee..

Really disappointing after reading some of the reviews. Would not return, and defiantly nicer pubs around than this one. Firstly when order drinks one of the glasses was covered in someone’s previous lipstick, how they considered serving that in the glass was beyond me. Second the waitress couldn’t tell you what flavoured gin they had. Thirdly we got told that half the menu was unavailable Bear in mind that it’s was only about 6.30 on a Saturday evening. When ordering a steak got told they had ran out of the 2 of the 3 sauces of the menu. The table we were on felt sticky, and the place needed a good clean, cobwebs and the skirting was all dirty. Where we were sitting there was a hole where you could see snails. Would not go back

Excellent Sunday carvery. 3 meats and 10 vegetables on offer. Friendly and attentive service (the extra crackling was much appreciated!). Also able to order from the general menu, which is always appreciated by my son, who is not a fan of a roast. Overall a very good experience. Delicious food and excellent value for money. Highly recommend.
