It is a decent hotel but not a 3 star as claimed, and overpriced for the service, rooms were neat but you will feel like you are seeping in the middle of a busy street, after a long drive you need peaceful sleep to continue your journey but the noises from outside, (bus horns, autos, engine sounds) will make it difficult for you to sleep and hotel staff not ready to change your room to the other side, not ready to give one extra complimentary water bottle, (no hotel has refused so far), customer service level is not to the mark, Welcoming with smile and wishing is the only service they know Breakfast is very limited only south Indian and some breads, even egg not available, but it was tasty, it is a decent hotel but over priced and not 3 star as shown in the web sites, if you plan to stay insist for rooms on the back or be ready to sacrifice your sleep,

The worst ever place to stay. Its not a 4-star hotel. ROBBING by projecting itself as a 4-star hotel with no facilities. Dont get fooled by the photos and false commitment. For business people and decent travelers who expect comfortable stay, this is a very cheap place with false looks. I was charged 5000+gst for a Single AC room. I checked in believing it has standards of a 4-star hotel. but its just up-to 1-star hotel mark. 1. Air Conditioner was not working. 2. No water from Tap. 3. No water for toilet also. such a disgusting place. 4. No responsible service or reply from management They get money and let people in low class rooms and when asked - they didn't take any responsibility. when I was waiting to raise a higher level complaint, many other guest were in line before and after me with same complaints. but they gave no response but continued collecting money. Wow..this place is so relaxing. What pretty gardens, right by the river. Outside dining which was so lovely. Food was great. So much choice. Great cleanliness in the dining area. The staff were so obliging and super friendly. We really enjoyed the cookery demonstration and the chef was so informative. The rooms were lovely. Nice comfy bed. There was also a dressing room area and then a bathroom. The swimming pool looked inviting although we didn't use it. The only negatives...the air con was a bit noisy and the bath needed re enamelling but in the scheme of things, this accommodation was gorgeous.
As the name suggests quality is ensured and delivered. Rooms spacious, interior well designed, restaurant great, central ac, staff plenty and well behaved, food good ( bit hot) and cheap quite cheap considering four star facility. It's on the main road few mandirs conveniently located. All good and so five star
ゲゲストWe as a family had a wonderful stay at Chola Dynasty hotel. The hotel interiors perfectly captures the essence of Kumbakonam. Friendly staff, spacious room and amazing food! The hotel is situated close to Swamimalai temple. The staff gave us a map of all the temples in Kumbakonam. This is very helpful when you are planning to visit multiple temples in a day and not knowing where to start. The staff gave clear directions to nearby places which was very helpful. The breakfast buffet menu is vegetarian-friendly and primarily consists of South Indian dishes like Pongal, Dosa, Upma, Vada, etc. They also provide egg and egg pancakes as non-veg options. It was delicious! I didn't enjoy only one dish - Sugar Pongal. The taste was weird! The triple bed room that we got was spacious, clean and comfortable. It comes with an amazing shower and balcony. We weren't able to lock the balcony door. We were concerned about safety. The staff got it resolved by installing a latch before we returned to the hotel. I appreciate the efforts taken to get it resolved so soon! On the whole, I highly recommend this hotel for your next family trip to Kumbakonam even though there were minor hiccups.
JJulieConway831There was building work going on next door. The rooms were ok. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was not great but water was hot. Wi-Fi was ok. Good location as near to the bus terminal. Good parking facilities too. Only local breakfast available and no choice as they just knock you door randomly in the morning and give you a tray
The rooms were good and the staff reasonably alright. But full credit must go to Sathishkumar Vaitheeswaran for taking special care of our travel requirements. The hotel did not seem to have its own car to drop visitors. However, Satish went out of the way to arrange outside vehicles on both days we stayed there. Awesome work!!! The room service was not value for money. A bottle of Bisleri was charged ₹42+taxes. And this was not indicated by the staff beforehand. The cafeteria had many staff walking around but very less to understand and serve our requirements. One person takes the order; another person serves the water, a third person brings part of the food, and a fourth person, the remaining food. And a very strange way of making a Gpay at the counter, as opposed to the dining table :-) The kitchen is located one mile away from the veg section, and the chappatis were overpriced. Essentially a good place to have South Indian non-vegetarian food. Vegetarians have limited choices, but that is alright. No complaints. The complementary breakfast was good.

I ordered a cup of coffee to my room, only to be served a flask containing tiny worms floating in the cup. It's beyond belief that such a repulsive incident occurred under your roof. When we confronted the server about this nauseating discovery, he callously claimed that the particles were merely paper dust from sugar bags. As if that wasn't appalling enough, upon emptying the flask, we discovered flies at the bottom. The lack of empathy and responsibility from your staff is infuriating. No one bothered to inquire about my well-being after consuming a concoction that you call coffee. Your promise to ”take action” is nothing but a hollow statement, considering the blatant disregard for customer health and safety. How dare you run a hospitality business without the basic decency to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the products you serve? I find it absolutely unacceptable that I had to endure such a nightmarish experience at your establishment. The blatant negligence and lack of accountability from your end are not only disappointing but also raise serious questions about the standards of your business. I de***d immediate and concrete actions to address this matter. Your negligence has not only ruined my stay but also jeopardized my health for couple of days. It's appalling that I have to express my anger and frustration in such a ***ner, but your lack of concern leaves me with no choice. I expect a swift and comprehensive resolution to this issue, ***** with a sincere and unequivocal apology. Your customers deserve better!! Also the tv cable was not checked before the room was given. The TV was not working properly at all.
