What a fun and sweet place to stay. Check in was a breeze, staff were friendly and fun. From the minute we stepped into the Inn until we checked out was a great experience. The rubber ducks were a def bonus and we all had a lot of fun with them, taking photos of them in various location, I think it has started a rubber duck collection with all of us lol Staff were so helpful and understanding, we had lost an item and were stressing as we had to leave, They offered to keep an eye out for it and ship it or give it to someone who could pick it up for us. They helped us search for it and thankfully we found it. Only wish they had locations in other parts of Canada as well, would def stay in these again.
I prefer fun boutique hotels when I am traveling, so that’s why I was drawn to Hotel Zed. It’s about 10 minutes from downtown Victoria and has parking. The Pros: loved the fun 70’s decor with pink rotary phones, comic books, and yo-yos in the rooms; the hot tub was wonderful after a day exploring downtown; the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was spacious. The breakfast at The Ruby restaurant was amazing. The cons: there’s a huge construction project going on right behind the property which was loud during the weekday hours, there’s no coffee/tea maker in the rooms which was very disappointing, especially since they do have microwaves and mini-fridges. I was traveling solo, so the Rebel Room that I stayed in was fine for me, although a bit crowded, but definitely book a larger room if you’re traveling as a couple. All in all, it was a good stay and I would come here again.
We recently stayed for 3 nights at Abigail’s Hotel. One of the nicest and friendliest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Little touches throughout are so perfect and well thought out. The staff are so warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel is delightful and decorated in such a wonderful way. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable. It’s just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Victoria and in a perfect spot. Whenever we come back to Victoria this is the only place we’ll stay. Thank you to everyone at Abigail’s Hotel for making our stay a memorable one.
VVelasco-BuurmanThis hotel was perfect for my husband and I. Everywhere was walkable, to the park, Fisherman’s Wharf, to the Parliament and downtown. We enjoyed the quietness of the neighbourhood and the victorian houses. We will definitely consider staying here again!
