picked the smallest room which was just big enough, but had a great view of the small rose garden. good location but no onsite parking, staff was wonderful. Breakfast cost 12 pounds but was worth it.

Fantastic village pub with a landlady you couldn’t beat… Lynne is a lovely lady and her dog Beau is friendly too! Great locals, good food and the best pint of Guinness I have had in a long while! Highly recommend staying here… the rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy and the breakfast is amazing…I will definitely return.

The Coachmakers Arms, or CAT to the locals, proved to be an excellent location for a stopover. The building is very old and full of character. Our room was at the top of a flight of stairs that was located in the attic. The room was spacious with a separate room for the sizeable bathroom. Dogs are permitted and our Golden Retriever was welcomed by the locals and landlady. The bar is small but full of character and a**osphere, the day of our stay the weekly quiz was being held. The bar was packed which is obviously a good sign. We chose to locate the small garden out the back and enjoyed a selection of beverages before retiring for a good night's sleep. If you are visiting Wallingford or the surrounding area we would recommend staying at The Coachmakers Arms. Remember this is an old building full of character so enjoy the experience that many before will have done.

This pub accommodation was in the perfect location for our visit to Oxford and family. The parking is several blocks away but with easy access. There are a lot of narrow steps to get to the room. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning, but the windows open and that helps. It is above the street and pub so can get noisy and there are bright lights outside the room. We would stay there again.

Location is great!! Easy 5 minute walk to everything. Room was one of the absolute best we’ve had in UK. Luke was a staff member and was superb! If I could hire someone like that for my business I’d do it in a heartbeat. Breakfast was continental but was so good & way past continental. We were Thames Pathway hikers & greatly recommend this lodging!

what can I say! We loved our stay. This is the little gem of Wallingford! prior to our visit communication with Lynne was superb, we were so looking forward to staying at the coachmakers arms and it did not disappoint! Our room was lovely, very comfortable and had everything you would need, even a little fridge with a fresh bottle of milk! the food was delicious too! 6 of us ate in the bar and our meals all came out together with lovely fresh ingredients. We visited with our dog and a few friends that were staying nearby as the coachmakers was fully booked. This is a very dog friendly b&b, the best I’ve stayed in, from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble and we felt so at home and our dog enjoyed it as much as we did! Lynne even gave our dog and our friends dog a lovely meal too so they weren’t left out! I would not hesitate in recommending a stay here, we will definitely return next year, possibly twice!! so please don’t book to leave room for us!

A beautiful cosy room for the night, a warm welcome for my dog, a great pub 'buzz', excellent food, both evening meal and breakfast, and such a thoughtful landlady. I will be back, bringing husband, daughters, friends, for further stays...

Beautiful room, great facilities and friendly staff. However, there was a large green ‘ emergency exit’ light on all night in our room which was very bright, and made it hard to sleep . Despite there being a fan- the room was also too hot as it faces the sun all day.
