I struggle to see people really finding major fault here . Great pub, great rooms , comfortable , roomy , good wifi , good shower . Comfy beds , plenty of space , nice staff . Really nice quality breakfast . Lots of nice ‘quality’ touches in terms of room beverages , bottled water , Biscuits etc. easy access out of hours . Ample parking . Good meals , good drinks . Great location and views !! If I had to pick a single fault , TV in rooms maybe a little small. And that’s really nitpicky . Outstanding !

Lovely hotel, clean, nice little touches in the room, toiletries and refreshments. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Lovely location.

Very comfortable, excellent breakfast there was a good choice of fresh fruit, cereal and a good choice of cooked breakfast. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay again.

First time staying at this pub, visiting family. I wouldn't stay here again sadly. My main issue was the heat in the rooms and hotel in general (which I heard other guests complaining about). Despite being the middle of December, the rooms were uncomfortably and stiflingly hot even with the window fully open and any radiators turned off (although the pipes remained baking hot). I ended up borrowing 2 fans (not from the hotel as the one they provided was useless) which is ridiculous given the time of year. Whilst breakfast was nice, I didn't see a single window open to let any form of fresh air in. You will also get the pungent smell of food cooking drifting into your room when the early morning cooking starts. Beds were comfortable but the room we had was poorly designed with too much clutter making them feel claustrophobic. Parking was a pain as we had to wait for people to leave to get a space. As mentioned above, we won't be returning to this pub/hotel. I find it irritating that people who do hospitality, can't even get the basics right.

The staff were extremely laid back & friendly. Our room overall was very comfortable except for the bed mattresses. Both could be replaced. Morning breakfast was good but service was slow. I would return and stay again.

We really liked the location and that it was quiet. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was disappointing: poor quality bacon and luke warm, though excellent eggs and fresh fruit is always a must for us

Perfect for a stay in Parkgate. Excellent breakfast very nice room with a view. Would recommend superior room as standard can be a little small.

Breakfast took a long time to come on the second morning and was only served 830 to 10. I think it should be a longer window eg 7 to 10. Also certain items missing such as tomato juice. No fridge in room.
