Disgusting. Plaster falling from ceiling. Bugs. Sprinkler in ceiling removed and stuffed with Kleenex. Bugs. Most lights don’t work. Splintered bathroom door. Nasty carpeting. Mold in bathroom overloaded outlet. Open outlet no cover. Gnats/fruit files. Mattress uncomfortable. I don’t have high standards for a one night stay but this is worst. Clerk at front desk has as much energy and personality as a piece of limp lettuce. Couldn’t get TV to work. Couldn’t get computer connected to internet. Guy next door at had TV on all night. Asked him to turn down but could still hear it. Steps to second floor need repaired. Don’t waste your money. Definitely don’t bring children here.
My experience was taxing to say the least. I arrived, after working an eight-hour day and traveling five hours, to a room that had old urine stains at the base of the toilet (both sides). The staff immediately provided a replacement, but it had the same issue. The third room was much better but clearly had not been used or dusted in a long time. The staff member did state that they do not typically have much business. I would expect that there is ample time to clean the rooms, even spot-checking the ones not in use. If I had had the energy, I would have taken the loss and gone to a different hotel. Luckily, I was checking out after two nights. I will not be returning, frequenting any Baymont properties, or recommending to anyone.
From the front desk joyous welcome from Winston to the excellent and clean accommodations, this Hampton Inn is an GREAT example of what makes Hampton Inns my favorite. Terrific job, Winston, and thanks for a great stay. Keep smiling.
ゲゲストThe staff has exceptional customer service from the front desk to hospitality! The wine and cheese from 5 - 7 were great to ”wind down” for the day and the cookies and milk from 8 - 9 were so tasty for an evening treat or bedtime snack. My room was LARGE with two levels - queen size bed, a large sofa, a side chair, and a faux fireplace with a space heater to imitate the real deal. The space heater did heat up the room because it was quite chilly. The only complaint I have is that my microwave did not work and it was pretty cold in the rooms but the staff was more than willing to accommodate my needs. The floors creek a lot when people are walking or just settling for the evening. Those little inconveniences will be there with the age of this building but it also speaks to its history...thus the story of Sally the Ghost. I was not afraid of that after reading about her story on my first night there.
What a great place, all the staff are so warm and welcoming and up for a laugh and a chat. Miss Pat in the dining room is an absolute sweetheart in every way. My daughter loved the waffle making machine and was shown how to use it to get optimal results and told where to buy one. I understand some people stay her on business for weeks on end. I can see why, it has everything you need. For us, as a British family coming to the States for some famous Southern hospitality, this provided us with the perfect example. Thank you. :)
ゲゲストThis is the place to stay in Winston Salem. My nephew who was only a day old was transferred to the NICU at at local hospital. As you can imagine my brother had a lot going on. I called the hotel and Tanya went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate and help to make this horrible situation a little easier. She kept in contact with me during my brothers stay, extended his stay and the hotel even got the baby a gift that was waiting for them at check out. Everyone should take a lesson from this employee. The kindness she showed was so appreciated. There are not enough words to describe how much it meant. Thank you Tanya! She deserves a raise!
