Poor location,too expensive ,not worth that . breakfast not even have sausage .

Everything was Superb! Wonderful staff. Very accommodating. The fondue is to die for. Must try both the deluxe with truffle and the standard. Sat in the private “hobbit house”! Excellent experience and service. Worth every penny ! The atmosphere, background tasteful music and service excellence. Perfect evening to close our skiing trip in Zermatt!

This is an excellent hotel in a quiet area from Zermatt. The room, service and meals were of high quality. If we came to Zermatt again, we would certainly like to come to this hotel again. Thank you very much

We could not fault our stay at the Matthiol! We stayed for a week for our winter Honeymoon and to ski, and it was absolutely perfect! The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious. The views are gorgeous and the location is just a short walk from one of the free bus stops. The breakfast buffet was THE BEST we have ever had, and the restaurant, Filet et Fils, was brilliant (the fondue huts were also a delicious and cool experience). The staff and service were absolute stand-outs. They were so helpful, providing recommendations and helping to coordinate ski hire etc. We will definitely come back next time we're in Zermatt, and we can't wait to stay again. Thank you to the Matthiol for making our Honeymoon so special!

The staff is super friendly and the hotel is AMAZING. Transportation service is a plus. The view of the Matterhorn is gorgeous from the hotel.

Hotel Matthiol is a relaxing slice of luxury that I highly recommend. It's located on the edge of town, however it's closer to the Matterhorn and quieter than the hustle of town. We were even treated to locals herding sheep around the hotel which was super cute to watch. Their service was amazing with shuttles to and from the train station even at late notice. Breakfast was very high quality with omelettes made to order. The room was next level and certainly a peak of luxury. I loved the attention to detail in the decor and the many ways you could relax waiting for that view of the Matterhorn from behind the clouds. Thanks and wish we could have stayed longer!

Hotel Matthiol is a terrific small hotel, very much deserving of its 4-star certification. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the rooms excellently appointed, and has exceptional views of the Matterhorn.

One might think a boutique hotel would offer small rooms, but not the Matthiol. Rooms and bathrooms are quite spacious and modern in addition to wonderful fitness and spa facilities. The best still are the people who manage the hotel. So incredibly friendly and helpful. Note, it is only a few min walk to the ski lift.
