The Adelaide River flows out of the hills to the west of the Brock ' s Creek and into the Adam Bay to the northeast. It's 180 kilometers (110 miles) long. Since the 1890s, the fertile black soil on both sides of the lower reaches has been used for various agricultural experiments: growing vegetables, rice and cattle. Adelaide River Town is a tourist attraction in Rum Jungle uranium mining area and Daly River area.
