Bailu Temple is built on Bailu Mountain on the South Bank of Zijiang River in Yiyang City, adjacent to Huilong Mountain, only 200 meters away from Zijiang Bridge. It was founded in the reign of the Tang Dynasty, about 1200 years ago. In the peak period of the ancient temple, there were four entries, the first was Maitreya Buddhist Hall, the fourth was the four heavenly kings; the second was Guanyin Hall, the second was the Buddhist School; the third was Daxiong Palace, about 18 Arhats, the left chamber was the Zen Hall, the right chamber was the Zhaifang, the fourth was the Pharmacist Hall and the Tibetan Sutra Building. There are more than 300 monks living in the temple, which is the largest temple in Yiyang.
