Founded in 1236.1338, the Church of Notre Dame of Glory of the Franciscans was renovated in the 14th century as a place for burying governors and local celebrities and gentlemen. It is adjacent to St. Giovanni Paul's Cathedral and is known as the Pantheon of Venice. St. Franciscans Glory Notre Dame Church is a jewel in Venice's attractions. Walking into churches and bell towers is like returning to Venice at the beginning. The road from the wharf to Lika, Brazil, is made of bricks. Pope John Paul I has a life-size statue in the church.

The most famous work of art in this church is Titian's Virgin Mary's Ascension, the largest altar painting in Venice. The church is hidden in Venice's alleys. The bell tower is Venice's second tallest bell tower. If not specifically looked for, it would be mistaken for a warehouse or something.
