The Thai Buddhist Academy in Wimbledon sometimes offers meditation courses. The monks here are from Thailand. Many foreign tourists come here out of curiosity. The gardens are very good. Donations are not mandatory. There are exhibitions of Thai local culture and art.

Wimbledon Thai Buddhist College is the first Thai Buddhist temple in Britain. It has been open since 1982. The monastery is famous for its frescoes and traditional Thai decorations. The frescoes in the hall vividly depict the life story of Buddha.
