You are in the middle of the city and then you step into Paradise. There was waterfalls a tea room where I had a refreshing cup of tea and scone listening to the water tumbling over the rocks.

Nestled in the Darling Harbor area, this attraction is worthy of it's own spot on the list. As soon as you enter the dragon gates you're suddenly transported to a tranquil Chinese garden, far away from the hustle & bustle of other tourists. The garden was designed and built by Chinese gardeners as a sign of friendship between Sydney (with it's large Chinese population) and Guangzhou, it's sister city. I visited multiple times while I lived in Sydney, each time discovering something new along it's winding walkways and pagodas. It's extremely serene, but you can just see the skyscrapers over the wall reminding you that you're still in the center of a city.

This is right in the centre of the city, but you wouldn't know it, it is tranquil and beautiful. My son and daughter-in-law were married here, so it has a special meaning to us.

A must do when in Sydney! This beautifully laid out and landscaped oasis on the fringe of Darling Quarter takes you away from the hustle and bustle to a calm and happy place. Words don't do it justice, so go and experience it for yourself.
