One of rome's most charming fountains. Great in all weather and amidst one of the most inviting squares. During the summer, it's also a nice place to cool down.
Rome has many decadently sculpted fountains throughout the city. The Moro Fountain is one of them. Located in Piazza Navona and designed in 1575, the Fountain adds a layer of Roman majestic grandeur to the Plaza.

At the southern end of the Piazza Navona is the beautiful Fontana del Moro (Fountain of the Moor) with a basin and four Tritons sculpted by Giacomo della Porta (1575) to which, in 1673, Bernini added a statue of a Moor wrestling with a dolphin.
