Green Lake Park is the place to be on a warm sunny day in Seattle! There's a path that surrounds the lake (2.83 miles) that's great for a relaxing stroll or to take a jog on! There are a ton of grass fields, which people play volleyball, soccer, frisbee and baseball on. There's even a basketball court that stays pretty active. There's paddle-boating (my favorite!) , canoeing, swimming, places to lay out and tan, or hide in the shade! There's a good amount of places to eat right across the street as well (Greenlake Bar & Grill has a great happy hour menu!). So many things to do, most is free (water activities are usually around $15). One of my favorite places to hang out at growing up in Seattle!

Excellent for everyone in the family. Plenty of activities for kids, also relaxing for parents.

We drive to the Green Lake Park 2-3 times each week during the spring, summer and fall seasons. We love walking around the 3 mile track, which can be used for walking, running, biking and roller skating. In addition, you can rent boats or kayaks, swim in the lake, and use the wading pool designed for young children. There are lots of different types of trees planted, many with a metal plaque with the tree type noted. There is also a small off-leash dog park, tennis courts and a baseball diamond. Green Lake is a great place to enjoy the outdoors.
