It was under construction when we were there but still it was really interesting to see all the pictures and artifacts from the incident.

Another must-see stop for any Hiroshima visit. Brace yourselves for an emotional, impactful walk through the devastation and destruction of nuclear warfare.

Powerful, raw and thoughtfully curated museum depicting the history and horrors of the first atomic bomb on earth used on a city. It tells the stories, history and science behind the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima and has numerous pleas and memorial sites urging peace for humanity. It is a powerful monument to see and a must for anyone in Hiroshima.

While the city itself was destroyed by the Atomic Bombs in WWII. The Peace Memorial Museum was built as both a reminder of the destruction and point to move forward from. Regardless it is something beautiful created out of the terrible destruction of the past. Some parts of the museum are a bit graphic and may not be suitable for younger children.

Incredible day. Very direct and powerful displays. War is a terrible thing.
