Wikipedia says "Kitsilano Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Vancouver, especially in the warm summer months. Located at the north edge of the Kitsilano neighbourhood, the beach faces out onto Burrard Inlet. The beach is home to the longest swimming pool in Canada, the salt-water outdoor Kitsilano Pool, operated by the Vancouver Park Board and open during the summer. Toward the northern edge of the beach is a playground and a number of beach volleyball courts.

One of my favourite spots to go to the beach, right below spanish banks. The vibe in the area is great. Always wanted to live down there.

This is where I spent most of my time during the summer months of Vancouver! Its always crowded with people as it is in the trendy kits area, full of great restaurants and shops nearby. Theres also an outdoor pool, basketball/tennis courts, and people playing beach volleyball, so its great for those of you who like summer sports.

Kitsilano Beach is probably the closest Canada gets to Los Angeles. A charming beach with a beautiful view, come here to people-watch, soak up the sun and enjoy some nibbles from nearby 4th Avenue. "Kits Beach" is also home to public swimming pools and tennis courts. The BoatHouse restaurant, right on Kits Beach, is a great spot to nab some local seafood.
