1万年前に巨大な氷河によって作られたワナカ湖はハウィア湖に隣接して住んでおり、「首」という銀白色の土地で区切られている。この2つの湖は、壮大な山に囲まれ、美しい石畳のビーチがあり、特に長く暖かい夏には地元の人や観光客に人気の観光スポットです。
