Mahabhati Temple is the only Buddhist Pagoda in Bangladesh style in Pugan, which is modelled on Mahabhati Temple in Bodhigaya, India. On the square base, there is a conical tower body, which is covered with Buddhist niches. There is a sitting Buddha in each niche. There are more than 400 Buddhist niches in the whole Buddhist pagoda. The Buddhist statues in the niches have different shapes. They are unique in architectural structure and detail decoration.

Built in 1215, this temple imitates the Mahabhuti temple in Bodhijaya, India. Its purpose is to commemorate the Buddha's enlightenment in Bodhijaya. The most special feature here is, of course, its pyramid-shaped spires, covered with niches, filled with Buddha-sitting, which is a wonder!

Unlike other Buddhist pagodas in Pugan, the top structure of the pagoda is pyramid-shaped and exquisite. It is composed of layer by layer of Buddhist niches. From a distance, there are countless Buddhist niches. There are many Buddhist statues in them, dense and different in shape.
