大通県橋頭鎮の東側にある北川川のほとりにあるマアン山の山頂は、大通の真ん中にある主要な山頂で、面積は約2.5平方キロメートルです。山の頂上には、通称「ラオエ山」、通称「元朔山」と「北武当」として知られる元宮(つまり関帝廟)があったためです。西寧近くの山の中で最も雄大で美しい山です。その山は北西から南東に伸びており、高差は大きく、主峰は海抜2928メートルで、相対高は486.5メートルに達しています。

老爷山の頂上には太元宮、つまり関帝廟が建てられています。これも老爷山の由来です。老爷山の南斜面は行かなければならないところです。ここの主な岩体は石灰岩です。長い間流水によって侵食され、風化し、多くの奇峰、洞窟、峡谷を形成しました。南斜面から登ると、華山のスリルに少し似ています。

Many people, like us, choose to walk down the North slope. It takes about 14 kilometers to walk down the North slope.

It is steep, challenging and has a good scenery. The trees in the back hill are lush and wild flowers are blooming. You can see the panorama of Datong on the hill. You can also see the Niangniang Mountain and the Great Wall from a distance. It is a good place to go. The timid can go up the back hill. The front hill and the back hill are good choices, but when taking photos, we need to pay attention to safety.
