If you're visiting SF, do yourself a favor and stop in to The Beat Museum. While you have to pay a small amount to go into the actual museum part, you can browse the store section for free. Learn about Kerouac and all those other crazy beatnik kids.

This place is fantastic. The owners are knowledgable and friendly, down to earth people who like talking to their customers.
