The main part of our tour in this theatre is to climb the observation deck on the top floor and look at the surrounding campus scenery from afar. There are all kinds of high spires, ancient and solemn buildings, ancient buildings, and people coming and going. Sheldon Theatre is another landmark building in Oxford City, near Trinity College. The theatre is a circular building, which is not very big in appearance and has no special mark. It basically keeps the same style with other buildings in Oxford City. It has a sense of age. But the wall decoration of the theatre is very special, and it is a sculpture of human head.

Founded from 1664 to 1668, it was designed by Christopher Reyne for Oxford University. The building was named after the principal financial supporter of the project, then principal Gilbert Sheldon. It is used for concerts, lectures and University ceremonies, not for theatre performances. The theatre is very close to Exeter College and Bodley Library where Qian Zhongshu studied abroad.
