Good hotel but we got a room with no ac, morning call say ok they fix it right now, 7pm back to hotel still no ac, call again say they just told front desk will fix again, then takes 1 hour let us change room, I mean they attitude was good but not doing the right job, should provide best service and not waste our that much time, this is 5 star hotel with such delay for ac issue?
First off, it is very very hard to drag a luggage through the entire ancient district into this hotel. The streets are paved with ancient cobblestone and engraved stones. It is impossible to drag luggage across it, so I had to carry 12 kg by hand. I was sweating under the afternoon summer sun. Thankfully, the reception ladies were very kind and I got cold tea immediately upon arrival.
Upon walking through the door, the water feature garden was quite breathtaking. I honestly had not expected to see such a design in Fuzhou. There are seats readily available, so you can also relax with friends in the courtyard or reception hall. Despite the lack of noise proofing (due to ancient architecture preservation), the room was also amazing with some of the best amenities I’ve seen to far.
The hotel also provides laundry service for free, which is a huge benefit in the sweltering Fuzhou summer.
In the main reception hall, you get fresh tea served as well as small talk if you wish. The sunrise and morning streets outside were gorgeous, so I wish I had more time exploring the district. There is honestly a lot to do in Fuzhou, so long as you are willing to avoid tourist traps.
Overall, worth staying here, but hauling 20kg luggage back to the subway again under the afternoon sun was crazy.
JJasonEverlastVery enjoyable stay! Room was clean and big, very suitable for a family of 4. Will definitely choose this hotel again the next time I visit Xiamen. 😬
Free Teabreak and Supper provided everyday, frontline desk staff was also super helpful and nice.
陈陈谨An amazing hot spring resort away from the city. Quiet and great room view. Had a complimentary upgrade to suite as explained that due to summer weather the room I’ve booked might have insert in the garden. Dinner was great and huge portion.
ゲゲストAs a mom travelling with my two boys, (16 and 13) we had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful villa! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our incredible host Xianti (XT), his lovely mother, and the entire family. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our entire visit.
We stayed in the Triple Family Courtyard Room, which was not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite our late arrival, we were still able to order a meal from the aunties and wow, the food was outstanding! In fact, we ended up having lunch and dinner there every single day because it was just that delicious. Every meal felt like a lovingly prepared, home-cooked feast.
We also had the pleasure of taking part in a tea ceremony, which was a serene and special experience. The tea was exquisite, and it was a lovely way to connect with the culture and surroundings.
Another highlight was the recommendation to see Impression Da Hong Pao a next-level show that left us absolutely amazed. What made it even better was that our host arranged the tickets for us and had them delivered to the villa, so thoughtful and convenient!
If you’re still hesitating, don’t! We can wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It truly felt like a home away from home in China 💖 and was the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking Wuyishan mountains. Much love from this familie: Nathalie, Max and Thije.
