amazing place
Malaysia’s initial step into heavy industries especially in the production of commercial vehicles was the set up of heavy Industries Company (HICOM) in 1980 and subsequently Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Berhad (PROTON), in 1983, Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Berhad (PERODUA) in 1993 and Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sendirian Berhad (MODENAS) in 1995. Over the years the automotive industry in Malaysia has expend. Parallel to the development of Malaysia vehicles industries, a museum has been built. The National Automobile Museum displays locally made cars and motorcycles and imported cars that have been used in the country. The main objective the museum is to give information on the Malaysia developments in automotive industry and its achievement. The museum also shows various collections of vintage and classic cars which have its own history to tell. The museums hopes to inform, educate and entertain the public on the country’s history and achievement in the automotive industry.
The National Automobile Musium is clean. Cars are well maintained. But the collection is very limited. It is a fun place for kids. There is no admission fee, we just needed to write our name and address at the entrance. A lot of parking space available.
Nice place to explore.
